This is what the OS said in the summer:
"Hartlepool United are delighted to announce the signing of Josh Umerah.

The Forward joins on a two-year deal from Wealdstone FC for an undisclosed fee."

It's a test of whether Raj Singh is remotely serious about keeping Pools in the Football League. If he's sold that's me done for the rest of the season.

If he goes any pretence of a future for this club goes down the plug hole with it.

sod the fans and club we have made a profit from him. doubt that will be in the programme notes for the sutton game. if he does go with the cheap second rate replacement then thats it for me this season at least.

If Burton have put in a decent bid, Umerah will want to go. Wouldn't any player in his position? As for a cheap replacement, I would be surprised if we got any replacement at all, never mind a cheap one. We are well and truly fooked.

I’d hope he’d believe a bit more in himself than a relegation battling Burton…
In an ideal world he sticks around until the summer and scores the goals to keep us up then gets us a big fee in the summer.

I Suspect Burton will offer higher wages than Pools which will be the crucial factor. I dont blame him.

If he is sold without a top replacement I will burn my season ticket outside the ground at next home match upon the arrival of King Raj in his Rolls Royce. I will never attend another game until that total Clown is gone from our wonderful little club. rakxe rakxe

Burton have had their ten minutes in the sun and are tumbling down. Wouldn't be surprised to see them back in oblivion sometime soon.

Yes definitely. I don’t blame the bloke but I think he’d get more if he waited until the end of the season. No hard feelings if he goes he’s been great here but we’ll be absolutely fucked

oh we are fucked if he goes like - the only other person we have who looks like scoring is a CB who is now out for the season - you couldnt make this shit up!... Hamilton isnt the answer and may also be crocked.. and our star Midfielder is also on the pat and mick...i use the term star very kindly aswell btw... the odd free kick and assist wouldnt even get recognition usually but as this being pools and where we are i have to give credit where its due ... what a mess !

My thoughts too. Josh busts a gut for us every game so I don't think he's the type to throw a strop for an immediate move. If he carries on performing for us there'll be a queue of clubs in for him in the summer whether we stay up or go down.

The " we won't stand in his way" bollocks can wait till June - letting him go now would amount to throwing in the towel when Pools are STILL not even in a relegation place.

Yes, Gillingham are nailed on to stay up, but Harrogate and Newport are both in terrible form and it's a madhouse down at Crawley. Josh's goals are the difference between a slim chance of survival and no feckin' chance.

If Josh goes (or has gone) it will probably be Mikael Nnjolie as his replacement. Funny how he suddenly resurfaced at the weekend.

every excuse known to man is rolled out when players are not signed. no matter what comes out of the club regarding
wages most players will move anywhere for more money and a regular start if they do their job. in div.2 you cannot guarentee you,ll be able to have a 15 year career in the game living in the first house you bought or the same area. even other jobs where promotion is concerned you have to move areas for a better job.
