Very poor from the Dale keeper but I guess you have to consider how many screw ups each keeper makes per season and Ben makes his fair share.

Exactly, every keeper has dropped a bollock some time, but it’s the number of goals conceded from them over a season that counts.
Only one huge mistake that gains notoriety in a season is better than several less publicised mistakes that are blithely accepted by us.

nowadays so many keepers go from hero to zero in games where they make a real memorable save one minute and cock it up the next. continental keepers used to be a laughing stock at one time, now teams cannot wait to sign them.

An outfield player can miss numerous ‘sitters’ in games but a keeper drops a bollock now and again they get ridiculed more than an outfield player even if they have made loads of game saving saves afterwards.
