seems to be getting all the praise in the local area - Cambridge seem to be in poll to sign him

what i have seen of him in their highlights he does look good. however didn,t loan star say he has a lazy streak that you would not notice unless you watch a full game.

It was only last year people were on Raj’s back when we didn’t sign Luke Charman sighting the usual won’t spend money, missed a fantastic player. He back in National League north after starting about ten games.

a gamble signing that has not come off. thing is some do though.jamie vardy could have been a similar waste of money as no one really knows the outcome.

I think Vardy is a bad example of non league making good. He was a one in a million and let’s remember he is the record signing for a non league player of £1 million.

Agree, people always bring him up to try and prove a point, he's scored 57 goals in 73 games, phenomenal record, there's WAY more flops than success stories when buying from below.

only mentioned him as he is the name that always comes to mind without thinking of others who have done it in a smaller way. its really down to the fact of having money to make the gamble that would not hurt the club. when you have to rely on the gamble to work then you can have problems. then there is the right player but the wrong club debate where moving up leagues to a struggling club is never easy for both party,s.

If Darlo are serious about promotion, why would they want to sell any players ?

Unlike us they can bring players in when they like, so if they need them to bolster their push they just loan a few as and when. Meanwhile they dangle and delay up to the end of the window to get the best deal possible for the ones they are cashing in on, thus building a war chest should they get promoted.

are darlo still part time. if so d they afford promotion up tp whats more or less a full time league unless they have someone at the club providing employment for their players to make em look attractive.

If you were a supporter you’d want promotion and bollocks to war chests or bringing fresh people into a team that apparently has something going for it. Would new signings even gel into the roles of departed players.
No, keep a winning team together and go for promotion.

I agree entirely with that, Snowy. The trouble is it's not the supporters who are or will be making these decisions. More's the pity.

Charman moved to Fylde for a record fee for them, that doesn’t mean he wasn’t up to it at a higher level.
Yes Lambert can be lazy, quite often gets caught out by not tracking his man. Spent a few games on the bench earlier this season as he just wasn’t producing. His corners are quite often easy pickings for the keepers too. However when he’s on his game and things are working for him he can be unplayable. He was fairly quiet on Monday but then sticks one in the top corner from a free kick from 25 yards.
Typical flair player, you have to forgive him his faults for the fact his good stuff brings so much to the side.

think every side needs one player like that in the side. can make the difference at the end of the day in getting 3 instead of 1 point in a battling performance. 11 on the pitch like that will get you nowhere and you,ll be limited also with 11 battlers who do nothing else but battle.

To be honest stopping goals should be the priority at the moment.

Macaulay Langstaff and Cedwyn Scott would have been good last season but back then we had capable defenders...now...well...

But yes, buying lower league/ non league players doesn't always work out. I remember seeing online that people tipped us to win the league in 2018 as we signed Liam Noble!
