I had a weird dream last night were I was struggling to finish work to get to the match and when I finally got to the ground the game was nearly finished and we were losing 1-2 and I couldn't get in so I'm going for...

1-2

I hope it was just a bad dream and not a premonition.

Do we chuck the form book out of the window and just rely on hope (Pools win) or do we go with the form book (Harrogate win) and get accused of negativity. That is the dilemma. Fact is we are running out of defenders and have already run out of capable defenders. I guess Curle's only option will be all out attack and try to score more than they do. Prediction based purely on hope Pools win 3-2. Prediction based on reality: Harrogate win 1-3.

I’m dreaming of a ……Shite Xmas.

“I’m dreaming of a shite Xmas.
Just like the one we used to know,
Where the floodlights glisten,
Supporters missing,
As we struggle in the snow.

I’m dreading a real shit Xmas,
In every post that I now write,
May Our Xmas be merry and bright,
Cos Boxing Day promises to be shite.
violin All together now :violin: :violin:

Harrogate Harrogate don't bother travelling
The Pools will see your defence unravelling
Armstrong will score
But Pools will score more
And when you leave town
Your team bus will break down
Ah well there's always next year
As you stop for a beer
The Vic had been rocking
And you lot were shocking
And your tears will bawl
When you hear of the draw
Its Manure away and a big Pools pay day.
Merry November all you Poolies.

Could be anyone! With my optimistic hat on I might suggest that if Harrogate notice we are throwing caution to the wind and are in attacking mode, they might decide to do the same and leave gaps at the back so goals will come from midfielders and defenders. Wearing my realistic hat, Harrogate will simply soak up our attempts at attack and score two or three goals on the break. We simply dont have defenders who can keep it tight at the back so if we are going to win we need to outscore Harrogate because sure as eggs are eggs they will score at least one and most likely more than one.

we can and should beat them at home - we have done it before in the other cup.

just have to play our strongest 11 - this could be our last decent cup run for a long time should we drop down a league. i think we should be going for it big style

think you should take stand up comedy up. strongest 11 is really the available 11.

Living in Essex I had booked a holiday in Harrogate in October then realised Pools were there on the Saturday I rand Pools but sold out. I then tang Harrogate to try and get a ticket in a safe area of the ground to be told I could not have one as if I was found to be a Pools supporter I would be ejected from the ground. I am 70 years old!!!! SO come on Pools stick if to them. 2-0 to the lads.

If you've got an Essex postcode you should have just told them you're a Harrogate fan.

Yes it's open.

But the sale of Elephants piss and petrol are banned...however you could argue that what is sold as beer, larger is like piss or looks like piss, tastes like piss

Pint of Treble P Please.

Last season we received a miserably low allocation so I registered on the Harrogate database & picked up a ticket at their town centre shop, the day before the match. Like you, I already had a stay in Harrogate arranged, but for two nights so it wasn't a problem. At the end of the game there were at least 2 other Poolies in the same area of the ground

Cooke and Hastie playing blinders, Harrogate down to ten men and we're two up.
And I am as sober as a judge.

Pools played well today. No weak link in the team even the emergency keeper played his part. Kicking much better than Killip. Hastie played his best game to date in a Pools shirt and was full of running. Hoping for a favourable draw Monday night. Armstrong didn't get a sniff.

Well, that's Pools £67,000 better off in prize money and two novel experiences for me at the Vic.

Ground was as quiet as the grave at the beginning as the NWC drummer hadn't turned up- was that the big protest Basil Brush predicted? It did mean the 50 or so 'hardcore' Harrogate fans out of their less than 300 away support got away with singing "Is this a library?" and even "You're support is effin shit!"

The other novelty was being able to relax during a game with Pools well in front and cruising to a win. Haven't been able to do that for at least a year.

Cooke man of the match for me, easily the best game he has played for Pools. Hopefully the extra spring in our step that we saw today runs in to next week and continues thereafter…

£108,000 so far plus gate share. Next round is worth £105, 000 plus gate share. I would like a winnable round three draw at home, win it, then a biggy away.

It's the difference between dominating play and chasing shadows. Harrogate allowed Pools time on the ball that other teams haven't done. We can still knock the ball around well if we get the chance. I'm not expecting Stockport to be so accommodating next week.

I was surprised to find out Harrogate have four players on loan from Huddersfield…. Nearly a third of a team.

Easily the best performance of the season today. Third goal was absolutely stunning, must have been at least 15 passes in the build up to it. The sort that would be raved about if it happened in the Premier League.
