On Solihull's crap second penalty - Ben Killip said after the match that Pools' analyst told him that their No.14 is one of those who hardly does a run up as he's waiting to see which way the keeper dives. Done him just by standing still

Watched highlights and was amazed how the entire left side of Pools defence was AWOL for the Solihull goal. Unbelievable. I am not a tactician or someone who is a student of "shape" in football so I would be very interested to hear comments from folks who know about these things. I mean was it a tactical ploy that went wrong or were at least two Pools defenders caught out of position? Due to all the injuries we have played these same players in defence on a number of occasions now, so its not like they are not used to playing together. I dunno. Hope to hear from others about this.

Some great save from Pillock there mind. Very good indeed. If he could be coached by the right mentor he could be bang average.

Tongue in cheek but half true. Some really excellent saves kept us in the game.

Killip is an excellent shot stopper. Its the rest of his game which lets him down.

Other clubs players in league 2 have decent all round game.

But the Main Bunker Anology is this is not allowed at Pools otherwise the player(s) would be to good to play for Pools and playing higher up the football pyramid.
sctatchinghead :o

Maybe our Lenny Lawrence can upgrade our recruitmentmanship. With KCs agreement.
Maybe he recognizes some gems from our youth policy are a better option than north of Hadrians Wall.
Its all about the Maybes being a Poolie.

Slightly off topic its looking likely the lowest points total ever will keep the 22nd team up. About 39ish.
Sure Torquay went down with 51 pts about 20 years ago.
Nice weather for Ducks today.
UTP.

its not the fact of finding players you want its the ability to sign them and selling the club to them. there will be far more players pools and others have had talks with who turned them down than the ones they sign. just wonder how many of our players were the clubs first choice when they signed and that includes the good ones that come off.
