One of Charlton's greatest managers, was our manager in the old first division & led us to a few 'great escapes', there are few football people who know more about the game than Lennie, he may be the the best appointment 'Pools' have made for a long while.

I think that at the clubs Lawrence has turned up in this role it appears to have worked out, his role appears as more of a listener for the manager to bounce ideas off.

From Curle's pre-match interview it sounds as if the trigger was for Bevington, or whatever he is called
