Watching this player perform and score goals reminded me of those prolific traditional centre forwards of the seventies who rampaged in the opposition goalmouths grabbing any opportunities by brute force and presence. Sometimes the goals were scrappy, but the style reminds me that the seventies philosophy of all all goals count equally no matter how scruffy they appear.
This may be part of his early success in the Premiership because he’s playing a brand of football alien to them and has the sheer physical presence to impose himself on opposition defences and basically intimidate them.
