I was watching the games last night and i can't remember anyone saying they've ever attempted it? It looks so easy.

Try answering that question "it looks so easy" when the pole snaps as you are about to take off.

I have never understood the pole vault, why? Although athletics bores me rigid, especially the Olympics, so perhaps I’m not a fan.

never heard of it being an option to learn at school. anyone interested in taking it up would have to travel to an athletics club to learn it. question is, how do you start to do it. looks bloddy hard to me not easy.

Come on Mr Blue, if that was the case athletics would include……’pouring the boiling oil over the siegers ’…. ‘Catapulting the plague ridden corpse into the castle’….. ‘beat the portcullis or die impaled’ (that could be a crowd pleaser)…..what do you reckon…?

I pour boiling water over carol singers at Christmas as i regard it as a winter olympic sport.
