Just seen the advert for this coming season's coverage. The opening goal is Joe Grey's cracker against Rotherham in the Papa John's.

From what I understand it will be a similar program as on quest for the last two years showing all the EFL goals scored that day with pundits giving their views.

Sky Sports will be showing live EFL matches at various kick off times, ITV will have programmes showing highlights weekends & sometimes midweek.

Not many South East/London based teams to dominate the live coverage. I guess Wimbledum will get their fair share before the table shows the leaders and 'big clubs'. Salford and stockport will get coverage I expect.

Got to be an improvement from the Quest Pundits.

I like Colin Murray. Knows a lot about lower league football, and at least seemed interested in Divs 1 and 2. Will ITV commit same amount of time to these 2 divisions, or will it be a Championship Love in?

The English Football League Highlights will air in the primetime slot each Saturday at 9pm on ITV4, with a repeat being shown on ITV [main channel] later in the evening. You can also catch up on the ITV Hub and viewers will be able to watch again on ITV on Sunday mornings.
The programme lasts 2 hours.

The sounds good 2 hours should allow proper coverage.

I enjoyed the coverage of league two on Quest.

Not sure why Colin Murray had to go - maybe his accent is not thought acceptable to Prime Time ITV4 viewers.

We start the season in a similar situation to yourselves, new manager & several new players.
I look forward to watching 'Pools' highlights on ITV & maybe we will draw each in one of the Cups next season.
I'm off to Accrington tomorrow, first of many long trips next season.
All the best for the season.

Yep they'll dig out a couple of women players with countless England caps who are "experts" on men's footy in the lower divisions having never played it.

One of each sex….. a young lady who looks a bit glamorous and dresses accordingly and a bloke I’ve never heard of with a posh name. charltonclive’s link will give you all your answers, ticks all the current boxes.

Won't be sitting through that again in a hurry. 30-odd brief highlights and 1 presenter and 1 ex-player chatting away for almost as long about the games. They need a gobshite sounding off just to keep people awake!

I’ve got it taped on series record but couldn’t face it on Saturday night. Really that bad eh?

Just deadly dull and made too cheaply. Like two football nuts nattering away in a pub - you wouldn't eavesdrop for 2 minutes, never mind 2 hours!

cannot imagine any football fan wanting all that gabbing over watching longer highlights of games. all they needed to have done after the walsall highlights was to say something along the lines of, and now we are off to bradford for the highlights of bradford city and doncaster.

Agree, there is too much so called analysis where "experts" tell us what we've just watched. Show more action from the pitch and less from pundits gobs.

Didn't mind it. Hasn't strayed too much from the Quest formula.
