a leader on the pitch..a winner..like the sound of that..and appears to have been well thought of at killie..

"Euan departs Killie as a champion, having played an integral role in the club’s Championship winning season, acting as a vice captain amongst the squad.
The club’s first signing last summer, brought in with the sole intention of winning the league, Euan accomplished this goal in what he described as the best moment in his career.
Everyone at the club would like to thank Euan for his service this past year and we wish him all the best in his future endeavours."

"i like to think of myself as someone who wants to win all the time and will do anything at all costs to win"..yep..thats just the type of player we've been missing..have a feeling this lad wont be bullied when dealing with crosses into our box..

Is he a centre back? All I can find out is that he is a defender.

Hastie signed. Well we’ll have enough to have to use CinemaScope for the team photo and keep someone happy.

A quote from BBC Sport’s Kilmarnock news regarding Euan:

“The former Dunfermline and Raith player has been linked with a move to Paul Hartlepool's burgeoning Scottish contingent at Hartlepool United.”

Paul Hartlepool?! sctatchinghead

oz.."Thank you."

..no probs..lets just hope this lad does the business for us in the middle of that defence....dealing with crosses ..and those big aggressive bullying old fashioned centre forwards...but having a flapper behind him wont help though..

things seem to be coming together a bit now. next thing will be the hope that these lads gell on and off the pitch. know life in general has moved on a bit from the 80,s when i knew more about dressing rooms, but i hope having half the squad being scottish with a scots managerial team will not upset the english lads at the club if they get frozen out and start to stir it a bit.

...racially motivated stirring ?...mmmmm......yeah... think the world has moved on pal from the good old days eh?..don't think anybody minds now what your nationality is..or colour religion etc..and absolutely right..would be surprised if the kind of silly shite you are suggesting went on ..but who knows. ..if it does suspect the door will be shown quickly to any who give a hint of that nonsense..sure you would agree?.

do agree with you but football is not a real mirror image of society as we have seen with the lack of players not coming out about their sexuality. are fans bothered or are many stuck in the past. saying that i did post on another thread about moving areas and jobs where once you hear another north east accent you make a point of asking them where they are from and tend to pal up with them for no other reason than coming from the same place. its like everyone who post on here have different views but we all have one thing in common is that we are poolies.

...i hear we are about to sign larry mcllama from one of the highland leagues..he is scottish born and bred and no one down here will be able to understand a word he says..but hes been banging them in and think he might do a job for us up front with bogle...i personally think the NWC will take to him...but hope it doesnt cause any problems in the dressing room like..

Cracking interview on bbc tees last nite with Fergy pools player.
Loads of passion n respect for a brilliant fanbase.
Loveing life n living the dream playing for Pools.
Saying hopefully this time next year im being interviewed again talking about life in league one.
Totally dismissed being happy with mid table and play offs or even top 3 finish is the players target.
If PH can instill that mindset into rest of the squad then maybe we all singing of the same hymn sheet next summer.
Like i said last week will judge the new signings about October.
Great to hear the you tube videos where the poolie fans get a mention of how loud n passionate we are.
Hopefully onwards n Upwards.
UTP.

Whilst I pleased with the way things are now moving I agree with KP let’s wait to October to see how good these signings are. I always have the theory that if you sign about 5 free signings you are doing well to get 2 or 3 successes. Hoping my theory is wrong.

hope i,m right but i have got a feeling with all the players we could have realistically signed that those PH has brought in are of a similar mindset as he has. think everyone is much happier now then they were after the last game of last season. if the worst thing happens and we fail to get anywhere but mid table obscurity i feel it would not be without trying. losing after you see effort is taken but certainly not without it.

always thought the same, but i think these lads have more to prove than ones who have spent years at other division 2 clubs that regard pools as just another paymaster.
