We were a bit disjointed on Saturday with 3 key players missing so realistically another 1-1 draw but hopefully a win

Goal Of the Season if one of our midfielders could do it, 'flukey' because it's Rooney...

Carl Magnay's mis-hit cross that sailed in home to Barrow 4 years ago - now that WAS a fluke

The Pools of old would lose to a lowly side after some decent results but I hope that is in the past and we thrash them 3-1.

Can we start the game properly? Last few games we have let the opposition control the first quarter of the match. If we do this again are Colchester good enough to capitalize?

Controlling a game we are loosing. Had we had Sterry playing we would be winning this. They are absolutely dog shit. Hope they get relegated to join their other southern divvys

Sounds like we started really well and dominated the entire first half. Of course there is the small problem of them scoring and us not scoring. Just like us to lose to one of the worst teams we have played.

Square pegs in round holes springs to mind. White doesn’t look comfortable out wide so far. We’re keeping the ball without doing anything at all with it…

Battering them. Just need shelton to play a crucial ball for Bogle or Mols and its 1-1. Can see Mols scoring. Feaths needs to get that caravan hes towing unattached aswell. Not really a good side at all these southern soft shites

If only it was that simple. Also thought Feaths was top class in what he does in first half.

Pretty poor performance really and lacked intensity and accuracy of passing.

Although we had chances they also hit the woodwork 2-3 times.

At the end of the day another 3 points and winning becomes a bit of a habit even if we have to do it ugly and it certainly was that!

Bogle is the difference. Hes class. Deserved that 100%. They are a poor poor side. They are a snatch and grab side. Hell we played them off fhe park. Like we do most teams tbh. Mols should of had 2 aswell. Yeh we rode our luck but how many times hAve we been the dominant side and come away with nothing. Was or time / maybe our time to push on. Fear no one in this league now as half of the divvys are no better than what we battered last season. UTFP !!!!!

Being generous those Colchester defenders want putting out to grass straight away.
Really they need turning into glue or pedigree chum.

A team who averages 5.5k crowds should have a centre forward of Ogles standing, if not 2.

Talking of useful Pools forwards, I noticed Fela scored for Yeovil this evening.

Colchester could be described as a ‘boisterous’ team to kind to them. The daft goal they got powered them up, but once we equalised they started to wobble and the time wasting stopped.

Ultimately, Bogle was the difference, however Colchester are really poor and we outplayed them for 80% of the game. They had a few breakaways but we dominated possession, albeit we were sloppy at times and not as cutting as we should have been. We are now strong in this league and have proved we can match the better teams as well. It is turning into a great season.

Rotherham are already at Wembley according to their fans so be nice to ram that down their throats on the night if we beat them, one team always comes with a run in the league late on Mansfield been on an incredible run, then Bristol Rovers and now possibly pools, still a lot to do for us to get in them play offs but a win Saturday and it leaves us with plenty of time to close the gap.

Just watched the goals and Fletcher's goal was entirely caused by Bogle taking on most of the Colchester defence. The youngster did will to stay calm and keep his shot down and then celebrated his first league goal. I hope he thanked Bogle later because he didnt in the highlight I saw. Bogle is immense. Him staying injury free will be the difference between us reaching the play offs or not.

true. anyone else thought this league would be much harder than it is. only forest green looked a decent outfit but was it a case of them being good on the day and pools were not.bet oldham cannot wait to go down there on saturday helping their great escape.

yes, everyone mentions a team hitting the woodwork but never when a defender gets the slightest of touches to a goal bound effort. thats where a fraction of an inch comes into it rather than a couple of inches making the difference.
