Hello, Palace season ticket holder here. I was in the Upper Holmesdale - usually in the lower. Thought I'd take the opportunity to take my camera and took some nice shots. here they are.

Probably won't come back here. You can find me on Twitter: @jkeltgv

Just to add. Class from you all. Walked back past Park Road where your coaches are and all good nature.

Good luck for the rest of the season. Will keep an eye on you.

Why throw these on the pitch? Ridiculous. Unfortunately most clubs seem to do it, including Palace. Something I can never understand

I’d imagine they’d have been tanked, whoever threw it.
One day the flare will fall amongst the crowd and expect the worst.

Unfortunately one of those red flares was thrown under the seats where we were sitting by a youth who was standing on the steps at the end of our row, setting fire to my grandson's backpack. Fortunately he was ok but the backpack is a write off.

As you say Snowy someone is going to be burned by these things.

Hope he didn’t lose anything of value, although backs aren’t exactly cheap.

The one that was thrown on the pitch only just cleared the heads of the people in front.

The one on the pitch was removed by 2 stewards using a fire bucket. They put the lid on and we saw flames coming out around the sides of the lid. These flares are lethal weapons and have no place inside a packed football stadium.

Absolutely correct. We too have idiots who think they are a good idea

You will have to change the photo from a photoshop file to a jpeg or gif. I change all my photos to jpegs.

Open the photo up and go to Save as. Where it lets you pick the file type, just pick jpeg.

every club has these but just cannot see anything being done about them until someone gets badly burned. then clubs will go totally OTT is searching all fans coming into grounds.

Searching everyone would be a nightmare. You just have to wonder at the limited brain function of anyone taking them in and hope one day their brain starts to develop.
