I see BBC Sport are on the ball with their FA Cup build-up news:

“Hartlepool United provide non league opposition for Crystal Palace this weekend, and Patrick Vieira has faced the media this afternoon.” sctatchinghead

Daft c.unts.

They said we were in the Northern Premier League when we played Exeter away a couple years ago.

They've corrected it to "lower league opposition" now.

Had to laugh at a post someone made on another article about fat Steve Bruce returning to management with WBA:

"Allardyce - check
Pulis - check
Pardew - check
Hodgson - check
Bruce - check

Oooh West Brom only need Warnock to be the first club to complete English manager merry-go-round bingo!"

Surprised they didn’t call us ‘West Hartlepool Utd’ and confirm Mr Watty Moore would be available for selection.

this is the thing that boils my piss the most - it will have been a well worded article from some little turd bally dancer who has zero interest in football - the editor cba with him so put him on football article duties - he gets Pools and has to google Hartlepool football team - his gracious effort of googling brings him to some article from the fail from 2018. He probably got the bairns FC team up first and almost penned the article on how a 16 year old has scored 30 goals already this season. Idiots man

The reporters only job is to write a few words accurately.

The club never, ever, respond to emails. Just one of those things sadly.

Chandy has plenty of time to regurgitate shite tiktoks however

Under the highlights caption on the BBC website, it says "Marc Guehi & Michael Olise send Pools into fifth round"

It gets better !

"Support for wife Gemma 'has blown me away' - Jones.

Hartlepool manager Jones, meanwhile, says he can't thank Crystal Palace enough for their support and donation for his wife Gemma......"

Given the circumstances, both insensitive and moronic..

And ITV local news didn't even mention Pools , they said 2 emotional local events aka the Boro win and Defoes return to Sunderland, it's like we don't even exist in the North East

Both events are transient distractions. Comparatively we did well, yet the blinkered media cling to their old icons. We only get recognition when they can’t ignore the bleeding obvious, but even if we actually won the FA Cup we’d be well down the pecking order behind a review of the new tiling job at Newcastle’s training ground and the Boro changing the colour of match day ticket stubs....even Sunderlands relegation to the National league under Challinor would beat us.
