killip

Sterry - Byrne - Liddle - ZFA

Morris - White - Shelton

Mols - Bogle - Grey

For me our best team lies within that structure give or take a player or 2 for league game - maybe Fela could take Greys place and try Ferguson as a left sided MF.

Odusina should technically start this game in the defence as hes quick and been solid as of late - i just cant drop Lidds from the team and the height of Byrne helps us too.

Killip

Sterry Byrne liddle odusina Ferguson

Morris Crawford holohan molyneux

Bogle

541 midfield as a diamond. A game like this isn’t where you try too many changes.

I'll show my posterior in the window of a former Hartlepool emporium if Spike goes with that starting line up. Defence and attack looks OK, but a midfield that has never played together starting such an important game? We'd have to be Oldham to be that desperate to change things up.

I'm not suggesting Spike will go for that line up, it's my creation, done all by myself. Nor do I expect you to agree with me. You could however join in and put your own choice up. Go on you know you want to.

now this i do like - would be lovely to try in a behind closed doors game. Who knows the club has enough players to be able to do it just now. (could always as the Durham Uni team for a kick about)

But on a serious note this could work - Holohan would be dropped for Feaths when his ban is up but i do think it has promise.Shelton and White to be used as subs aswell and Fela/Grey to replace Bogle should he tire up there on his own.

Nope. I've no idea yet how good any of the new lads are relative to what we already had - need to see them play a few times first.

I need to see them play together as well, which is one of the reasons for picking them.

See the lads where on media duties today in their fancy suits - even has the Pools badge sewn into the pocket. Very professional by us and i hope they go to the game like that. Represents the club little things like turning upto big occassions in suits etc.

agree plus getting off the coach with a smile on their faces minus earphones and sign a few autographs for kids. you get sick of seeing these super stars at other clubs who are in their own little world with sour faces and financial worries of the world on their shoulders. let pools be different.
