Newcastle are trying to tie him down with another contract offer because they want to keep him.
Apparently he is putting in good performances for the under 23's. He is a 6 feet 1 inch midfielder.
Loan until the end of the season perhaps ????/
He is 19.
Looks like Lee is keen on height and muscle.

It originated with the Daily Mail's Newcastle reporter and has been picked up on several sites since, so it certainly sounds as if Pools have asked the question. It's up to Newcastle now.

The Northern Echo is now saying White will be coming to Pools for the rest of the season:

"While other EFL sides had been hopeful of signing White on loan before next Monday's deadline, it's understood he will be heading to the Suit Direct Stadium."

Quality signing this
Just what the midfield needed. Have a feeling hes going to be another Loan player we fall in love with and will want back next season. Bags of quality. Tasty little midfield we have now. Be nice to see Spike find the best formation with these new players.

just thinking that. along with fletcher now as well i just wonder who is going to miss out. if these two young lads do not get much game time it could be harder to recruit from there parent clubs in the future.

It's a fair point. That lad Hull has had hardly any game time so far and if Spike switches to a 4-4-2 his chances are going to be even more limited.

Fletcher though is going to get plenty of opportunities because the manager rates him from his time managing the Boro U-23s and he's a replacement for Daly.

Fletcher will see game time as rightly said hes one of the standout players from Spikes former role. He will be a nice addition coming off the bench. His height will do us favours. White for me has to start. The lad is wanted by Celtic and Chelsea if that doesnt say something about his ability. Id lik to see 4 3 3 and make the most of our new attacking forward players. Wonder if Bogle gets a start today.

All we need now is Pools to land a good goalkeeper as the final piece of business.

Picking Joe White for the first team could potentially swell our home gates as the magpie fanatics flock to the Vic to watch their prospect play.
From what I can gather this kid is something else.
I'm getting a little bit excited.

Fletcher came on and seemed to steady us. Was the target man on kicks and throws becuase of his height. Can see him being an important sub player. Looked leggy towards the end but i think that was down to him having to do 2 jobs due to 10 men. Bogle should have scored tbh. Played well and really will help us kick on this season. If the hype around this White lad are true then i can see us being very lucky this season in him choosing us as come next it may be prem clubs wanting his services on loan.

New GK next please and the jobs a guddun !

As I posted previously Morris was outstanding as an England schoolboy and youth but sadly to date has not met his potential. Since leaving the Borough has had numerous clubs and just seems to go downhill in standing of clubs.

Been linked with another lad from Fleetwood aswell but seems hes a regular in the team and is highly rated by their lot. Cant see us getting him on loan, plus cant remember the last time pools actually poached and signed a player under contract from league football.

How many midfielders do we want? We Got White from the Mags, Fletcher from Boro, Feaths, Holohan, Smith, Crawford and Shelton. So that is seven midfielders. Do we need really need eight?

Woudn't be surprised to see one or two in that list leaving the fold.
I have a feeling that Holohan's days are numbered and if we were to get an offer tomorrow he will be gone, especially if we sign Biggins. Smith is another one. Then the two loanees will return, that would be four out. Come the season's end I think big changes to the squad will take place and next season we will be seriously competing at the top end.
Just thoughts like.

They are here until the end of the season and then they return to their parent clubs which is what I am saying and then they are no longer part of the seven or eight and then we have to make a decision on their replacements. sctatchinghead

I would think Smith and macdonald are gone this summer. Holohan we need to sell
Now if we hes going to move on as would be free
In the summer. Alot of midfielders you are right. Id like maybe an attacking winger. Dont really have one outside of Mols just now. Should we change formation in a loosing game these are the nice to have players to bring on.
