a grimsby fans view of bogle....interesting comment about his partnership with amond....

https://threeamigoswigan.com/2017/02/01 ... mar-bogle/

"On his day and providing you play to his strengths he’s a match winner. Won the play-off final for us last year to get us back in the League and has only got better this season. Play him along a little guy and he’ll make as many goals for them as many as he scores himself. Padraig Amond’s 30+ goals last year were also the result of having Omar alongside him"

Agree Poolie1 now lets play to his strengths with Cullen or Carver mopping up the chances he creates. Thank you Raj for not only the signing but also being more open to the fans when welcoming him on OS.

like this from raj...

‘’Bringing in Omar and other recent signings shows our progression and ambition as a football club and I hope there will be a few more to come before the end of this window. We are focused on building not just for this season but also looking ahead to next. "
‘’I’m pleased that Omar is fit and ready and will be available for Saturday’s match at Exeter subject to EFL clearance as well as the next round Papa John and FA Cup games.’’

New were the net was in his younger days.
Hopeing this move kickstarts his career with a return of 50+ goals to bring league one stability for Pools.
Time will tell.
UTP.
50 goals over 2.5 years by the way.

We know the club(hufc) reads social media so maybe Billyboy and his pals did there bit to loosen the purse strings.

Doubt it, with some people it’s 100% genetic. The first thing they did on being born was blame the midwife for her birthing technique, not how they’d have done it.

Gives you that warm fuzzy feeling when we are starting to bring in players like this - dont get me wrong Fletchers was a good signing and we all knew we was to expect at least one of the better U23 boro players. But now i feel there is another very good signing to come. I reckon the lad from Bradford will be our next one before the weekend also. UTFP !

true, and on top pf that i feel he has something to prove to both himself and the game at large after a poor spell at doncaster under a manager that gave him no favours. imagine many have written him off after this and time in the championship which was a step either too quickly for him or above his ability.

Good signing, just what we need a big strong lad who knows where the net is. Can't wait to see him bang in the winner in the semi-final.

Great signing for us I feel. Not an out and out goalscorer but he is 2/3 things we are missing from our front line.

Now we just need someone really really quick.

Precisely kev if people don't say it isn't good enough then you end up with what happened 4 years ago. Let's not forget in the last few home games we have lost between 700 and 1000 home fans. Its about time the club woke up this season, the feel good factor was their in June and through the cups it's their again.

Just watching some of his better stuff when at Grimsby - If he was the center as part of that front 3 that included Mols on the right an Joe grey/ Fela on the left - I think our forward problems would be solved. Carver on as an impact sub. Plus im hoping we have Cook back from Injury soon too as i think hes the better player over Cullen.

Nothing up with complaining, healthy enough activity in moderation. However...... constant deconstruction of every aspect of the club and it’s owner and staff over a sustained period is not good.

I think Joe Grey should be given the role of playing alongside Bogle, maybe even Fletcher. Two big six feet plus gadgies attacking our excellent crosses would be a refreshing change.
Liddle, Byrne, Bogle and Fletcher all waiting for corners and free kicks to arrive in the opponents box. Then there is Hull, another giant.

yeh this certainly would change a few things for us - every corner we get i dont even bother to think we are going to create a chance for it - may aswell just give the keeper the ball back. The other night was a nice change to see them go short inside the box with one of them, almost got us an effort on goal if i remember rightly. But yeh put the crosses in as much as we did at the start of the season with these lads in the box and sure as shit we will see more goals

I sang raj praises last year, how could you not took the club up showed ambition. That went missing this season for one reason or another. This club and I've said it numerous times is ready to take off with a tiny bit of investment.

In other news has anybody got a spare ticket for palace going? Long shot I know.

get something at exeter, a decent performance even if beaten at palace then i think they,ll be back. those who have stayed away will be the ones who have only bought into the feel good factor that would be the first to stay away once the side is playing poor stuff in the league.

We're still doing incredibly well to keep a hard-core of 4800 to 5000, 1 win in 12 will hit anyone's crowds.

Billy-police where do you get that we have lost 700 - 1000 off the gate. Apart from the Carlisle game the crowd has mainly been hovering just above and below the 5000 mark.

Raj didn’t go missing, Challinor did, after signing a three year contract which buggered everything up for all of us, it wasn’t his going it, they all go in the end, itwas the nature of his going after achieving god like status with some.
I wasn’t sure about Lee’s appointment but I’m coming around to it now

I think the thing with Lee is it looks like he lives and breathes the job. I hope the Blackpool and Charlton game shows him not to be scared of going for it.

I’d like to see a settled team with changes only for injury or poor performance. I want a team to know each other inside out so it works like clockwork.
What that best team is however is open to debate.

Having Joe Grey and Joe White in the same team would be interesting too. 'White to Grey and back to White' - like a washing powder advert!

I'm excited by the purchase as I think a fit & motivated Omar Bogle is a big improvement on what we've got. However... I hear he is also quite focussed on his music now & with a 2 and a half year deal, i hope his agent hasn't pulled the pants down. Feels a bit last chance saloon for his footy career this move to Pools.

Our new signing in action!

Also wonder if we paid his contract up in order to take him on a free?

I’d like to see a settled team with changes only for injury or poor performance. I want a team to know each other inside out so it works like clockwork.
What that best team is however is open to debate.
