whos their star forward worth that ?

i like that Sbarra from Solihull - scored against us when we played them last year aswell. Andrew Dallas is another one in that league - notched last night too.

i was thinking of him but he tried his hand at this level before and failed after a breakout season before

Tahvon Campbell a reckon - 14 goals 3 assists this season - not bad at all that considering Armstrong and Oates finished the season on those number (okay Armstrong only had half a season and would of gotten more no doubt).

another "the one that got away" - just wait till Carver is up and running, sure we will see him score goals

wont be surprised if we Langstaff make a move to the NL / L2 - although Gateshead currently top the league

The last player we that had Gateshead connections wasn't bad.

This is very true.

any news apart from the lad at Bradford ? thought we were going to see incomings today - they tend to like the reveal on socials in the light aswell, be dark in an hour or so

ha literally spoke too soon - Isaac Fletcher tall attacking midfielder which am sure Spike knows well about. Will replace Daly am sure. hopefully good enough to break into the team. Just what we need in the midfield, height and presence

Tahvon Campbell. Looks like he's signed for Bradford. He's out of contract in a few months and Woking going nowhere so it makes sense to cash in. He was on a hot streak earlier in the season but has tailed off (like the team). Locals down here are happy enough for him to move under the circumstances and they will send him off with best wishes. They've just signed Nicke Kabamba on loan. We know how well he starts at clubs and then disappears. I'll say Hi to him from us Poolies on Saturday.

Yeh i think others have been looking at Campbell aswell by the rumblings of another board i frequently look through. No doubt in the right team might discover his form.

still waiting for another annoucement - cant believe its took us this long in the window to get an U23 boro player through the door

Omar Bogle,s name is being mentioned as well, Also Richard O'Donnell (GK) and Bryn Morris(Hartlepool lad) but wages could hold it up.

All hear say, twitter talk, We will see.

Franks will be 32 this April and is currently plying his trade with Stockton. I think we can do better.

think o,donnell seems the strongest rumour. doncaster have been trying to off load bogle for awhile now but does not seem to want to drop divisions even though there has been interest in him from our league and the one below.

Give it a couple more months and he will be dropping to league 2 anyway. Think he has scored something like 3 n 28 games.

he is either at the wrong club or he has more or less gone as a player. it happens to everyone no matter what their age is. certainly a gamble i,d hate pools to make because of his wage demands.

We don't want Donny misfits. We have had better success against league one clubs than Donny have had this season.

O'Donnells name has made the Mail today with actual words from the gaffer - this certainly no rumour. Hope we get the lad in. Definitely the pedigree and experience we need.

Omar Bogle - what a rise and fall that man has had. Defintely a one hit wonder and would be wanting cash to come to Pools id imagine. Rather not take the chance. Fela is gearing up to be a player should he get more game time, rather play him.

not seen much of Morris but his reports from the Boro where always very good and i know hes regarded very highly amongst his piers in that age group (some ive worked with when coaching doing badges etc). Wouldnt turn down a loan for him.

Harry Chapman is the standout kid from that class so to speak - he would be a very nice to have in the side.

Morris was a very gifted kid full of potential as a youth to the effect he captained England youth teams but like many does not appear to have lived up to his promise and just gone backwards.

true. at least he looks and acts like a keeper unlike killip who always gives me the impression of an outfield player going into the nets if the keeper gets injured and there is no other on the bench to replace them.

tbh i shot from the hip with that comment yesterday (one of them days). Im glad hes here and welcome the lad with open arms. I may have been thinking he was 32/33 and looking for a last pay day but ill hold my hands up and take that comment back. Im quite confident he will find form at Pools just like Barker did all them years ago !

From what I gather this morning his quiet spell at Doncaster was during a period of three managerial changes and in and out of the team during which none of their forwards were scoring, so sometimes maybe it’s the circumstances behind the scenes and not the bare statistics.

a lot will depend on how pools set up and play. if like they did on tuesday i think he,ll do well. if like last saturday he,ll struggle. saw doncaster early on this season and they were very similar to pools on a bad day. could this be the reason of bogle,s bad form with them.

Agree the managerial mess and form of the team would even have messi struggling for a goal. Alot is down to confidence with strikers as we all know and id imagine being in a struggling team in a league superior to maybe what your level may be will have had mega impact on the lad. Sure he will settle at pools as im hoping the front line is built around or for him.

Little additional snippet for this one, although academic. At the Woking match yesterday, their manager (Dowson) came to the sponsors lounge to announce the team. The sale of Campbell came up and he explained that they cashed in due to the contract situation and the fact this fella has not scored for 2 months and very few in the previous 5 years. He did mention that several clubs asked the price, Pools among them, but were put off by it. Not a bad one to dodge, I reckon.

Fully agree with this. Rochdale have either a striker who has hit his peak or one who had just had a rich vein of form.

I know where my money is and don’t think he was ever worth the risk.
