Oh well that's what happens with loanees, it's a chance you take when a recall clause is in the deal. I wonder how he feels about missing out on the Papa Johns.

Agree with this comment - Seemed to shine in the cup games but the pressure of the league wasnt his strongest asset.

would have loved to see him play Charlton just because of the luck he carried into those games. Will be missed - best of luck to the lad.

Have a feeling hes going to be one of those - loaned out to a few more clubs before he sees his time with Huddersfields starting 11. Will end up with a breakout season and be sold off.

There is 2 other really good Loan Players of the past 8 years whom stuck out like Daly (although he must go down as one of our most successful which his goals and assists ?).

- Jake Gray (not sure he rose to the heights he should have either)
- Kal Naismith

Both players joined the same season as Mikel Mandron and Ellis Harrison - Fun Fact, same season Luke Hendrie had his first spell at the club also.

We've had a few more than that, surely?

Keane, Hugill, Mirfin, Tshibola just off the top of my head.

Yes there will have been others - i should of been more specific. What i meant was from an attacking goal scored point of view. Yes Hugill I suppose has to be included due to his Goal to keep us up that season.

Ray O’Donovan was a good loanee, 9 goals in 15 games at the end of the 2009/10 season.

Yeah, but that's to he expected tbf.

A 15-20 goal a season League Two striker could more than likely get into a League One side and might be on the fringes of a Championship side. Your chances of getting a player of that calibre on loan must be fairky slim. Unless you have an overloaded League 1 side to loan from and a ton of money.

Midfielders, keepers, and defenders are harder to gauge. You'll get a lot luckier there. Theoretically, there are a load of great keepers stuck on the bench forever.

Which is why it makes sense to break the bank on a good attacker or two and use loans to cover other areas.

does that mean permanently back or will the re asses the situation and see him back with us at the end of the month. this happens a lot with loanees, going back to their parent club and then loaned back out a week or so later. has had a good trophy run and a purple patch in the league a couple of months back. been annonymous in many games but what will we get as a replacement though.

Yes Barmbys son came in at the same time as Luke Williams' first spell. Both where very good and i remember thinking if we had them in the side for a full season we would of won the league that year. Williams was head and shoulders above what we had and he bossed that midfield in his first game at the Vic. Only Pools would manage to get him back permanently and him be made out of sticks and not get back to his full potential.

anyone remember a certain Chris Shuker from City aswell. he was utter class aswell. Going back to maybe the 00/01 season that ill have to look it up

Have to say I'm slightly more worried that Daly has now rocked up at a fellow League 2 club - having been recalled from us. Can only think Bradford offering better terms.

In other words Bradford are paying more money. No need to panic I'm sure everything is under control. The war chest will be out any day or month now.

Judging by the comments of Huddersfield’s Head of Football Operations, Pools do NOT have “a lot of expectations of being successful in the division” unlike Bradford. :angry-tappingfoot:

This is very worrying, have we not been paying his wages or something. It's not like he has not got lots of game time at pools.

So were in the quarter final of one cup, in the 4th round of an fa cup tie at a premiership team are a whopping 4 points behind Bradford, our manager then says oh he has gone back to Huddersfield because of an injury crises? Yet you say I'm being ridiculous. Give your head a shake of course it's money.

Well switching him to Bradford ain't for improving his development. As stated above only 4 points between us, potential trip to Wembley and playing in front of a big crowd at Palace.

It's either to do with money or he wasn't happy at pools /wants to be closer to home.

Your one man crusade in trying to shout down anyone daring to ask questions about wtf is going on, isn't going to work on me pal and I doubt it's going to work with 95 percent on here. If fans aren't starting to get alarmed with what is happening now let alone the last 6 months then they never will.

We’re playing good football again. But severely lacking in any cutting edge. There is nigh on no pace. This is what I’ve watched in the first half so hope to be proven wrong.

Yes, very very convenient, but hardly Pools fault. Get the full picture.

local div.2 club come sniffing around. huddersfield recall him so he can move a few miles up the road from them. doubt a few quid a week would have come into it.

possible that the lad got more cash for loan appearances from Huddersfield or us (or both). Some loan agreements, to make said player try their hardest in getting into the loaned team have incentives with them. Daly will have been in contact with his representative in Jan as its the half way point of the loan. Discussions may have been had and Daly either not happy with his playing time or wanted to be closer to home also. Few variants to take into account but not always down to cash as technically we may not have been paying a shilling towards his wages. In some cases also the loan agreement has a minimum set of games needed to play, this may not have been reached and Huddersfield not happy with Pools. We will see if he makes many appearances for Bradford.

Daly will be sick as a pig if we get to Wembley. Lee didn't appear to be enamoured by Huddersfield's handling of the situation.

We were told last year we don't put very much towards loan signings, great bit of business if they do you a job for 6 months or year, but we can't start complaining when other teams pop along and then grab those players.

that would be fine if pools somehow managed to do the same. their parent clubs are paying these lads anyway and they go out on loan to get matchday experiance first and foremost and not a help to another club. do other clubs pay the wages of pools players when they go out on loan.
