Thanks goodness for that - now can we sign his replacement. I see over the weekend alot of teams around us adding players. Even Colchester managed to sign Huws, who i highly rate and would be an ideal addition to our squad. I think its the geography in where we lie to why we loose out on alot of players tbh. Some just dont realise how good the North East clearly !

Anyways few more additions this week wouldnt go a miss - one been a GK please !

That frees up whatever he was being paid.
Good luck to the lad.

I was gonna wish him Bon Voyage, but with his luck, the ship would hit an uncharted rock just past the pilot pier and be lost with all hands...save one.

To be fair, you’ve got to feel for the lad, at least he had a go, ok he was not quite what we were expecting, but maybe we weren’t quite what he was expecting.
Now just watch him sign for some club darn sarf and become a goal machine

 Dunno what the ref was doing booking both of them. The Wendy was blameless and Mad Mike should have got a straight red. All the funnier that he didn't.

I would like to see Olomola get more minutes on the pitch, only 4 starts this season and 1 goal, a couple of consecutive games will at least establish whether he is good enough to be performing at this level.

Carver is the Striker we have been missing all season - he isnt anyone replacement tbh (well not until he notches 15 then ill say hes Oates').

But Carver could end up being his replacement if he doesnt score - which i highly doubt.

Fela is quality and showed his quality against Bolton as part of that front 3 - unfortunately his height doesnt warrant him as a number 9 but should we play 3 up top he did that job very well - he got back and defended aswell which actually kept us in the game due to his goal line clearance. Hes a bull who can move which is what you need at this level. I would also like to see him get more minutes and get his confidence levels up. He can read the game too which some strikers cant do at all. If he was another foot taller he wouldnt be plying his trade with Pools put it that way.

totally agree. its a case of never using the lad correctly from day 1. at least he was in the game against bolton and was involved. we have had players who were never in games getting picked week in week out like daly was at the start of the season.

Looking at the stats Fondop has played at higher levels than Carver so replacing a Conference player with a Conference North player seems similar to a straight replacement. Not great for a team in a higher level still.

the plus about carver is that he has walked through the doors of the last chance saloon for him. just a feeling that his heart wants it but his hampered by a lack of ability at a level he left 10 years ago.

Carver put himself about at the weekend like he had played at this level the last few years !

overtime he will get accumulated to the demands of this league - that will come via full time training and playing in L2 level games week in week out. Yes last chance saloon is what will give us what we need out of him im sure. If the boot fits, hes looking at the last 4/5 years playing at this level. Hes been given a mint opportunity that many dont get so im sure he will give Pools his all. Fondop however had the ability of a sunday league overweight drunk and the pace and fitness to match. But... we all know what will happen, he will join Dover and smash 30 in and get them out of the relegation zone.

You are correct the problem with Fondop was lack of condition. His past record suggests a decent Conference player but lack of fitness and condition cost him at Pools. Someone will get him fit and interested.

Carver has to prove he has the ability. At 28 he should be at his peak and hopefully he will do better at this level now he is older and stronger.

no pre season and a late season start would not have helped him. could be one of many who do not enjoy training anyway so he was never going to get up to speed anyway.

accrington....sorry..... but what on earth are you talking about ?...his record certainly does not suggest a "decent conference player"...he has never lasted more than a few months at any of the non league clubs he has played at....10 clubs have shown him the door in ten years...everywhere he goes he gets battered as the song goes...sorry yes you're big ....and can wrestle a bit.....but you have zero footballing ability... so there's the door...he lacks basic ability not fitness...that anyone would come on here and argue the opposite is beyond belief...it has to be a wind up ...right ??...
