i would snatch their hand off now for a point. i,m sure we will do a bradford on somebody before the season is out but cannot see it being them. knowing my luck it will be at AFC Betty,s when i,ll most likely be in the home end so i cannot celebrate.

Still too traumatized to think about the next game. If I said owt I'd get abuse for being negative.

You are surely not suggesting Pools concede a goal from a cross into the box? Highly unlikely.

I'd be tempted to try a different system, maybe something like

Killip

Ogle Hull Liddle Ferguson

Crawford featherstone

Grey holohan Molyneaux

Carver

3-5-2 isn't working just now

Drop Odusina when he's been really good in recent games? Can't see that happening.

More likely Gary Liddle will get a rest as he'll likely break down and need another long lay off (that Pools can't afford) if he's asked to play 5 games in two weeks.

Hull will get his chance at some point in that run of games but I wouldn't bet on it being Tuesday.

Why wouldn't you start Hull? Agree about Lidds though.

I would play Hull but I wouldn't drop Odusina for him. With Sterry out for a couple of games (2nd red card) the back line can't do without Timi's pace.

I think we will win this, team isn't playing bad and surely we are going to take our chances shortly. Unless were planning on saving our goals for the cup.

we do need a change in the way we play - we now have 2 actual strikers (who are the best we have had all season tbh playing side by side) - its time for a formation change to get the best out of who we have. Holohan needs a good run in the team too.

a lot might hinge on the type of side carlisle put out. at the vic they didn,t look the tallest of sides but if they have some real height in the side then i,d go for the taller hull than odusina. would like to see francis angol also getting a run in the side.

I agree about Francis Angol. He is one of the best defenders at the club. I dunno why he isnt a regular. I know his main position is left back so he is up against Ferguson but he has shown he can play as an effective left sided central defender. He is strong, fairly quick and has a good engine. Maybe it is to do with formations?

odusina.....blackpools 1st goal....looses his man...then unforgivably allows him past him along the line...then worse still.... actually stands watching events as if in shock.... before eventually waking up and trying to get back in position....has never impressed me to be honest.....always looks likely to drop a clanger..

he has had some good games that are spoiled by a big serious error in the game. every player in a game will make the wrong decision and make mistakes. his ones are massive ones that usually lead up to us conceeding. as for francis angol i,d play him before ferguson myself but i have only eyes and not a coaching badge.

Lawlor is back from Darlington now so could change all the central defenders.

It's a great ball over the top. Once it's in the box Killip's flap and usual hopeless misjudgement about when to come off his line is the reason they score their only goal of the game. Football matches last 90 minutes and player performances are best judged over that time frame. You're not an armchair football fan are you?

Odusina is one of the weakest defenders we have - ive seen enough of him now to know he deserves no part to play in the league games. ZFA is much much better at defending than he is - ive said it time and time again the man doesnt have a clue, hes only where he his because of his pace. His decision making and total lack of understand sometimes (as shown in the blackpool clip dear me whats he actually doing) is beggars belief how he gets in the side. He needs loaning out for a season back to the NL.

I seen a bit of Lawlor at Darlo and also his game for us which i think came at Carlisle in the cup. Worth a try for me.

You mean the one where the Rovers player is allowed to get his cross in far too easily, everybody misses it and a Rovers man gets to the loose ball first and fires home? It's a poor goal to concede but singling out Odusina and pretending it's his 'clanger' takes some doing. I doubt Graeme Lee will see it that way, but we'll know when the Pools side is announced tomorrow night, won't we?

hogans....defending a cross is about getting in front of the man you are marking...not jumping behind him actually facing away from the ball !!.....ffs......but odusinas career at pools is littered with clangers...if he plays against carlisle my money would be on another one at some point during the game.....just hope it doesn't cost us a goal.....

Odusina cant defend in the air either - if its not a simple ball he can either head away or dare i say it bring down. Then he looses more aerial battles than the Iraqy airforce.

The new lads height should effectively give us a better chance of defending dead ball situations. This in turn is where the majority of where we leak goals from this season tbh.

anyways this is about tomorrows game in the wetlands - My prediction should we play the same as we did saturday then i think we might just get this one 1-0 to the Pools - Ferguson with a cross come deflection into the net.

What about if you're triple vaccinated and haven't had a jump for at least seven days.

"Haven't had a jump for at least seven days". Stop having a pop at Pools central defenders.

Pools currently the 6th worst team in the country across the last 10 games - across the Prem and Footy league - with 1 win, 2 draws, 7 defeats and 5 points.

Oldham and Harrogate are 8th and 9th worst respectively. The worst is Gillingham with a meagre 3 points in the last 10.

The form guide needs to change fast.

doubt there would be a change in player recruitment if carlisle doubled that score or we had a win that papered over the cracks. it is what it is and we have just to suck it up.

If Killip is at fault for goals tonight i think we may see that GK come in this week.

what would tonight be any different from the rest of his time with pools. he might have done better if we had another keeper around that pushed him for his place in the side which has never really happened.

They already think we are the worst side, seen a few comments that only two teams in the country are worse than us away, so let's batter them.

cruel game this one we all love - went from having the best home form and been one of the best sides in the country at home to being one of the worst. This for me is a game where we have to put point (s) on the board. Its been too long and worryingly is relegation form should it keep happening. GK should of been replaced august 2020 correct - the fact DC replaced Killip with Mitchel Beeney when he first came says it all really.
Not sure ive seen us in this lack of depth for GK quality - technically we dont even have Mitchell do we? his contract expired also. Heard Shields want him.

forgot to add - Our Cumbria neighbours go above us tonight should they win banghead

Very scrappy.

It's interesting listening to Hobin doing the co-commentary for Pools iFollow. Disgraceful that Carlisle United still haven't coughed up to replace the seats in the Rink End that the horrible toe rags they call fans smashed up.

More of a disgrace that we haven't just fixed them and then pursued them for the cost. Can't our own club subsidise some coach travel? I don't mind if Raj takes some money out of the club. I don't expect every penny to be spent but come on.

He thinks our fans shouldn't criticise the coach situation for Palace as the distribution was what Palace wanted, but we have the best fans in the league. No gesture by our own club isn't ideal. The guy is Chief Operating Officer. If he couldn't see criticsm coming what did he expect?
