Loan signing, central defender - sounds like a useful addition.

He is massive, great signing. With him and carver we might be a threat in the opposition box from set pieces. In fact we will be a threat.

seems to have goals in him too - decent day so far - quite happy with the incomings so far.

I tried to get Smithy as well but my mate Paul Warne wouldn't have it.

Unfortunately it appears he played for Guiseley in the FA Cup while on loan but also played for Rotherham in the Papa John’s (and scored) as he was allowed to despite being on loan at the same time.

Damn ! at least the cup games we can rely on Lidds and probably have ZFA back in contention for them also.

Jake Hull's loan signing is now on the OS:

https://www.hartlepoolunited.co.uk/news ... sign-hull/

He's got Eddie Jones's squad number so it looks like Eddie won't be coming back. Decent player, but Pools aren't short of fullbacks.

What does seem clear is that the manager is going for attitude as much as skill. No bad thing in my view.

What has happened to Hendrie? He must be going to Stockport as well. Looks like Nelson is picking the players to sign based on these 2.

true that especially when things are not going to plan. it always seems the way to me that the skillful lads go missing when this happens and look good when teams are winning.

Played against us recently, they lost 5-1.
To be fair they played half their youth team as they had a covid outbreak and needed to get the game in to get players back from suspension for a cup tie the following week.
