Rumours on a fantasy football league maybe. Armstrong is Harrogate's top scorer and their own chairman is loaded. On what planet would they be looking to sell?

Johnson moving from Port Vale on the other hand - he hadn't been able to nail down a regular starting place so from the selling club's point of view it was good business.

Not going anywhere Luke Armstrong according to Harrogate.

Certainly does.......it goes further than that, he wants Edgley Park renamed Victoria Park and the club renamed ‘ British West Hartlepool Excited’.

There is an article in the Mail suggesting Carver is likely to sign on Monday. Not sure about this one. He is 28 years old but has done almost nowt at FL level but is banging them in for Southport. Can he make the step up?

Can't stand Southport, when on the beach you usually have to walk half a mile for a paddle. :)

He has to.
Massive step up to efl.
Welcome aboard n good luck.
Obviously a gamble signing some mite say the usual cheap option.
Sounds like hes on his way.
After yesterday's little windfall we could still hang back for something a bit more upmarket.
See what Monday brings.
UTP.

played a few league games for accrington as a teenager but like many he lost his way. if he was still in his early 20,s he might be worth a punt but he has been around now so long it makes me wonder why someone else never did. if this transfer comes off we know which shop pools are looking at.

"A real warrior on the pitch, works his socks off for the team" - sounds like he'll fit right in with the tremendous work ethic that is Pool's biggest strength. Also, he's a 6 footer- got to be a better option that comedy Mike Fondop.

By all accounts it's a done deal, so how about we give him a chance in the blue and white rather than writing him off before he's kicked a ball for us?

Always my thinking to give someone a chance then decide, so when the fook is Fondrop on his bike......then again he'd probably fall off it.

yes but i,m underwhelmed big style. always loved to be proved wrong in football though. fondop would do well on his bike as long as he reads his instruction manual beforehand that shows him which way to sit on the thing in the first place. his legacy will be plenty of votes to get into the worst ever pools 11.

Well said, but some people on here would go on a cruise and complain because it didn’t sink mid voyage....just so they could sit in the lifeboat and say ‘ I told you so’.

This lad obviously knows where the net is, well he does this year. He could be a great signing. But if people can't see why some fans are slightly frustrated they never will. The only clubs we seem to be able to entice players from are obviously clubs not paying much or loans where the parent club pays most of the wage. Maybe takeover rumours are true and raj really isn't splashing the cash on the team anymore.

After reading the Southport board im a little more convinced by this signing. There is defintely something there. Get him into full time training and playing with some of the quality we have in the side and who knows he may become the next Vardy. Funny old game. Same thing with Dion Charles aswell. Same sort of route and given a chance and now look, in the Bolton team that we beat this week. This maybe classed as the cheap option but as ive said before rather have a lad whos hungry and wants to prove himself over a 33 yr old knacker who cant get into the Falkirk reserve team who would probs set us back a litle more cash.

There will be players now we will have the funds to get based off yesterdays result. Another pot of players we probs now can look at in the loan market. This produces another task for mr turnbull im sure. Still optimistic even more so now that a decent signing of L2 calibre will be with us come Feb.

Also looks like Mitchell is off.

‘This lad knows where the net is, well he does this year’...just like Oates and Armstrong then when they came except they didn’t have a scoring record.
The trouble is nobody knows, but then the fans can’t be taken into a giant huddle and told what’s what either.
I don’t understand though whenever this comes up some people resort to ultra negative mode and expect the worst or most imaginatively depressing outcome or motive for the most innocuous actions the club take.

Well he's 28, so it'll be his last chance at league football.
He'll be busting a gut to make it happen ,i'd rather have that than a Howard or Harewood.
We create bags of chances, maybe he'll thrive here.
He might even be able to score from the god knows how many corners we get.

Whenever Pools get beat or fail to beat a struggling side there's about the same number of negative posts as there was in the days when we couldn't get above mid-table in the National League and were useless in the FA Trophy.

Really, nothing beats a good moan for a lot of football fans. And Poolies have had loads of practice.

Well when a bloke from Stockport has more up to date and accurate information about Pools than the local paper it tells you all you need to know about the local paper.

Most If not all football related rumours these days are posted on twitter where just about anyone with a pair of eyes can tell you who's going where.

I could tell you Aston Villa are hoping to sign French left back Lucas Digne from Everton. Yet I support neither club.
