Just seen the interview with Tony on the official site and he is a really impressive young man. Obviously knows what he is talking about and doing a reasonable job with someone else’s players. Whether he gets the managers job or not Raj needs to make certain he is retained by the club in a prominent role as we are not blessed with talented men like this. Obviously has a thorough knowledge of Pools and how things work and League Two after having a good career at a good standard in the lower leagues. Let hope he is still in charge next week fot the visit to the Wendies because we certainly owe them one!

Not a snowballs chance in hell of him leaving the club, Raj will be making sure he's part of the deal if and when a new manager comes in.

this today from some rarf called joe ramage at the fail.....

"Sweeney has had to juggle several plates in the aftermath with first team coach Clint Hill also leaving the club recently following Challinor’s departure.

And it may have led to some supporters growing concerned as to whether Sweeney himself could be next in line to leave the Suit Direct Stadium and link up with his former manager once a new man is installed."

hope you are spot on but do not put money on it. New managers always want their own staff with them and i,d hate to lose a good one if raj puts sweens career with pools as part of a deal in recruitment. Saying that he does not come over as the type a player or a new manager would instantly dislike or a back stabber.

That’s the Mail.
They’ll be telling us ‘a firm called IOR are considering taking over, we await further developments’.

I thought Sweeney looked very stressed and drawn in his interview prior to the Port Vale game.

When you have our forward line, a keeper that can't deal with crosses and back 5 incapable of stopping less than 2 goals a game, your bound to be a bit stressed going into Port Vale, Sheff Wed and Lincoln, especially after 4 league defeats.

sweens.... hinting on radio tees....."we're not daft there will be someone else sitting here in the not too distant future"......on today's game "i'd be thinking there is a good chance the new manager is going to be watching"......so eyes peeled please on the directors box at vale...

could not give a flying one about the next two games as long as we are not hammered. the big two games coming up are rochdale and scunthorpe at the vic. need the new manager bounce to win both of these to put the pressure off.

anyone who took sweens as next manager on skybet, he had to take control of 10 competitive matches, assuming they mean the papa johns is competitive if Sweens takes charge against Rochdale they will pay out

I did, and I've been keeping an eye on it ever since. I'm willing to give up a pay out if it means a new manager is in place sooner though.

I think we should give a flying one about Lincoln you could be one massive win from man Utd away in front of 60 to 70 thousand, we probs still won't see any of that money, but who knows.
