Honest as the day is long. The last time l remember him so pissedoff was the Torquay home game and he did exactly what he said he would back then.

I think he knows Pools are going to be in a fight all season and he's doubly disappointed because he had Barrow marked down as a place Pools could go and win.

It'll be interesting to see who gets dropped next week - I think he could still go in for Luke James because he wants footballers who play to his system and Luke already knows exactly what would be expected of him.

Yes I am for the return of James.

I'm not sure where he will play James, if he should come to us. Last time he was effective playing down the right and we already have Sterry and Byrne doing that pretty effectively. McDonald was impressive down the right in pre season and he wants shot of him.
I think we have to steady the defence a little bit more in this league. All this bombing forward is all very well but we have to keep the back door shut, which is the primary role of a defence.

James was pretty good at helping defensively through his pressing and closing from what I remember of previous spells. I'd certainly have him back if he was available. I'm with you that we need another experienced defender if we can get one in.

What’s the obsession with bringing back Luke James? He’s garbage, that’s the reason he was on the bench for a poor Barrow side. He isn’t any better than what we’ve got and that’s not even mentioning the amount of times he’s just binned us off for another Club. No for me, we need goals and his goal return for a striker is nothing short of embarrassing!

Class player in his younger days.
Nowhere near that standard nowadays and spent most of his last spell at Pools on his arse.
It's a NoNo from me.
I give Raj plenty of credit for last season.
But certainly seems that the UNITED spirit between him DC and the fans is disappearing rapidly.
Next two weeks to Transfer Window will play a major part in our Clubs long term future.
As it stands now a Miracle from DC is required to keep this current squad in the League.
Howay Raj back our brilliant Manager n Fanbase.
UTP!

So glad someone had the guts to say this. Everytime he returns to the club he seems to deteriorate more and more. Would rather take a punt on a young loanee like Challinor did with Armstrong last season.

So far signed Mitchell, Byrne, Ogle, Lawlor, Smith, Olomola, Cullen plus 3 loan signings. Plus the deals to keep players from last season.

It is a bit rough saying Raj has not backed DC. We had a much restricted choice due to the late finish to the season now it just needs DC to work out his best team. There are plenty of other clubs trying to sign palyers and many with better budgets than ours. Be realistic.

You’re absolutely right. But don’t let the facts get in the way of a good lie…

In Dave & Raj we trust!

I'd say they all have better budgets than us.

not just the long term future but the short time one as well. ok the defence was poor at barrow but it wasn,t at the vic in the 2 games played. DC has a major problem now bringing in new players for me. his choices are between players who cannot get fixed up, players other clubs want to ship out sooner than later and yet more kids, who may or may not do a job, on loan from teams above. ys, like the start of the season i,d bite someones hand off for 3rd bottom now.

and realistically those we have signed would be similar if not the same as ones we would have signed if we had not been promoted. we had no where near the top budget last season but we must be in the bottom 4 this season.

Our crude transfer business this season hasnt been one that most would of hoped for coming back into the football league. But like many have mentioned we took the hardest and longest way out. This unfortunately has had a detrimental affect on the transfer front. The fact we managed to keep Sterry is probably our biggest transfer coup upto now, unless we sign that 30 goal striker before end of this month. The other actual signings are realistically ones we would have gotten should we still of been in the NL, no denying that. Jono Mitch and possibly Cullen may have gotten away from us had we not been promoted (would we have missed them, so far no).

thankfully its not just me that is now starting to realise that for now we are going to have to make do with young loan signings and maybe some 'misfits' who are unwanted again.
The loan signings once again are class - no denying that, DC has done it again in finding a gem in Burey. The lad from Stoke has scored on his debut too, cant ask much more than that and i liked how confident he was. Better things to come from him.

I think DC now will be more concerned with the defence - hoping for a Torquay moment from last season and we push on from here. The wingback formation left us far too exposed and better teams will really kill us off. Lids cant be exposed as his pace has gone and Timi isnt good enough yet to mop up, that shown with Barrows first goal. Hoping Lawlor and Ogle get given a chance and hopefully give us something different.

Its going to be a long owld season im afraid but im confident in DC that he keeps us up. We still are a better side than some in this league.
