Leeds United are planning to raid newly promoted Hartlepool for Andy Monkhouse, James Brown and Michael Nelson. Wise is most confident of bringing Monkhouse who he has previously signed before during his short spell at Swindon. However, they will not be signing Dimitrios Konstantopoulos who will be signing for Fulham.

We should pull out all the stops to make sure a L1 rival doesn't poach our best players away. Anyway rumours schmumours.
Anyway a move to Leeds would ruin a player like Brown under that little schithead Wise.

I fully agree, Lets just wait and see how serious IOR are about this assault on League 1 next season.

If we start selling left right and centre we are going to turn into a Feeder club . If we are going places we need to put these "big" clubs in their place.

BUT they've reduced their debt from 35m to 3.5m, so that would be "back-pocket change" to a club like them to come straight out of admin - and sign whoever they want on daft thousands of pounds a week, and start the cycle all over again.

I think moving to Leeds from Pools at the moment would be a lack of ambition for most players at the moment. Leeds are likely to try and sign at least one or two "names" and plenty of released Prem and Champ talent (don't be surprised if they're linked to Malcolm Christie....) so someone like Brown in particular would just get lost in the crowd and find himself in the reserves IMO.

If Champ or Prem clubs want some of our players fair enough - but we need to make them pay an appropriate price that will allow us to bring in suitable replacements. Fortunately this is the way IOR have done business in any case - look at the fees for Miller and Boyd for example. Every player has his price, and IOR give us the ability to turn down stupidly low offers unlike days of yore when it was a case of we undersold players because we needed the cash in a hurry......

Since when have IOR sold 'left, right or centre'?

Why would any of these lads want to sign for a 'has been' club like Leeds? Monkhouse for example left a used to be premiership club to come to Pools.
