Not bad - Dunston currently 4th top of their league ... and they beat Boro earlier this week.

Dunston were miles off it, we played pretty much our second string apart from Byrne, Shelton and Olomola - who I reckon may start against Crawley Town. Impressed with Josh MacDonald, Zaine Francis-Angol and Harry Close.

Unfortunately for MacDonald regardless of him playing well over the last few games. DC has almost ruled him out and not wanting him in the team this season. I think his level has been shown over this pre season. Maybe get some minutes and form at a club like Spenny or Blyth even a Whitby.

He's obviously been a massive disappointment for the manager as he gave him a 2 year deal and must have expected him to do well. Same goes for Crawford, who also got a 2 year deal and is a fringe player for Pools at best.

Massive disappointment for us fans as well - if only Oates and Johnson had got the 2 year deals instead! Hindsight is a wonderful thing though

Yeh id feel a little more confident if we had Oates still in the side i wont lie. But will never get my head around offering Crawford and Macdonald 2 year deals. They must have had some reference / Trial when they first came on the scene at Pools. Just hoping Cullen is our answer to Armstrong - not too convinced on Fela yet tbh.

still we have time to get those Loan players in - DC will know what he needs to do after the first few games. UTFP
