Excellent excuse to get 10 days off work for the workshy.
Like they gunna lock themselves in a room away from their partner n kids.
Probably less chance of spreading covid in the workplace given the majority have been jabbed.

Government s way of a further Lockdown not being called a lockdown. sctatchinghead .

Wonder what shit they will come up with for the tidal Wave that's on its way this winter.

there is no law telling you to isolate if you have been pinged. wonder if we had been in the middle of a period of cool wet weather they,d be as quick to conform.

Unfortunately in a situation like this the work shy are going to take advantage more so if they are on full pay, do you need a sick note if you get pinged ?

Equally from what I can tell there's no law saying you need to download the app either. I've never used it. Just used good old pen and paper

If the weather changes and the wind blows from the North, I’d anticipate a drop in pings.

I think it's only statutory sick pay in a lot of workplaces.

wouldn,t know an app if it hit me across the face. in fact i have not got a device to operate the thing in the first place. however along with having the double prick proof owning and using a device to download stuff will also become more or less a compulsory requirement. 2 years ago anyone who expected these restriction to ever come into our lives and told us so would have been described as a total crank. nothing will shock me anymore.

Harbour a guess that 90% of people who have this App on their phones are busting for time off work
Seen a Facebook message last week we're someone boasting about sending the PING to his mates.

we have all took sickies at times at work. there are so many of us that hate or hated their jobs that its not just being lazy. think those who love their work have a different look into this pingdemic than the ones who hate it.

We have had people at work who have been asked to resign or be sacked over the misuse of the app, apparently a couple were tagged in photos on Facebook at a stag do when they were supposed to be isolating and others that got pinged took a screenshot and passed it on to a few of their mates

they are as thick as elephant shit then. i,ve took a sickie a few times and all football related. that would be as stupid as me coming back to work the next day and leaving my programme from the game on my desk. possibly the unluckiest bloke who did this was a teacher at my grammar school. he had the day off to watch a cup replay. the tv or film cameras were there and the camera panned right on him which the headmaster saw. he just wasn,t seen anymore and he told me the story a few years later when i saw him on a bus.
