Someone said to me it was bit like a war ending, except no one’s told the other side the war’s over.

a great big NO. there will be some that will if only to put their selfies on social media. we always have to try to make a big thing about everything nowadays. got a message from covid 19 who said that him and his mates know nothing about this and will carry on as normal.

Meh. Has anything genuinely changed? And you just know scientific advisors and NHS bosses will be spending every waking hour trying to find the new supposedly highly infectious variant. My money is on the Oz Variant, followed by the Atlantis and Middle Earth.

well the sun is still shining, the birds still singing with no new plagues upon us yet today. bit like new years day a total anti climax. come on BBC get your pet scientists on quickly to attempt to put the shit back in anyone who is happy. i,m sure the secret trial on face masks by tibetan monks that only them know of has been found that not wearing em has killed over half non wearers of the new everest variant that becomes lethal to anyone not living at sea level. house prices in coastal areas to triple overnight and a housing development on seal sands commences.

I like how they say we must get back to ‘normal’, what was ever normal?
The so called freedom day came about under pressure from the hospitality and travel sector to get back to making the kelp. If some of the prices I’ve been quoted for the lodge we had for a week which was a 400% increase on September of last year I can only assume the greedy buggers are trying to claim all their lost revenue back since it began.
I had the BBC World Service on yesterday while working and they say the world is looking on to see how it pans out as the first country to try it. Should be interesting.

and the percentage service charge restaurants are making on bills where they admit the staff only get a small percentage of this and the rest being used for what they have lost. like holiday makers their faults that shit happened. once ripped off you will not go back again so what will their next tactic be.

The UK based travel industry had a chance to sell themselves to the British public. Sadly with the prices being charged here, the holidaymakers will be off to cheaper climes abroad when it does eventually end.

there are still a good number wearing em outside yesterday in the soaring heat. kids waiting for the school bus this morning with them on. cannot see things changing much at all. i,ll not wear mine but i,ll keep a distance from others. there was never need to get so close to others in a queue or in conversation with em anyway before all this. find someone getting really close talking is a bit aggressive anyway and always puts me on my guard.
