Very possibly but they will have walked away with only crumbs on their shoes which will gone in 20 paces. That was the beauty of the white stuff, it went hard on contact with the air. Great invention which they only stopped because so many dogs became constipated.

The main reason for white dog poo was that people used to feed dogs a lot of bones. Calcium made the poo white but also nearly killed certain breeds of dog.

Bones are now known to be bad for dogs (if eaten a lot and from certain animals i.e. pigs) for various reasons and therefore poo or "doggy" now tends to be the many spectacular shades of green through brown.

Dog food manufacturers used to put ground bone meal into dog food whereas nowadays its mainly cereal and other meat products. There is very little bone in dog food hence the unfortunate rarity of white doggy doos.
