Where are these Notts County rumours coming from?

I had a look at a couple of their fan boards and they sound like a combination of wishful thinking and hot air.

mentions about 8 players 'rumoured' to be joining them in a couple of pages, half of them from Pools.

Shelton is the latest and he's already had his option on another season exercised by Pools. Their own fans aren't buying the rumours, pointing out that the club always keeps its real transfer business close to its chest (just like Pools) and that they apparently have a self-imposed £1k a week maximum salary cap till they get back into the EFL.

On top of that, NL clubs have just voted for a salary cap at today's AGM, against the wishes of the NL board. Good to see the worm is turning.

actually getting hard ons over the fact mullins rejected his Cambridge contract and genuine conversation is had about him joining Notts.

i know we have some shockers but fuck me.... like a L1 34 goal striker is going to want to be plying his trade in the NL for a bag a sand a week. idiots

the Sterry rumour has grown arms and legs and seems likely more truth in it than not, but again read where it comes from. Some poster casually makes the comment that a RWB is needed and Sterry would be perfect (yes, yes he would hes class and alot better than that shit level)

lots of these boards are full of bored fans waiting for the season to start. think most clubs keep things closer to their chests nowadays due to social media. doubt the average notts county fan could name more than a couple of pools players before the play offs. know i could not name 2 of theirs without looking or their managers name.
