Pools they say are planning a final away friendly on Saturday August 31 . This is of course after they have played five League games. The Hartlepool Fail. Don’t you just love ‘em

they also spelt Saturday wrong a further few lines up in the article ... lol

Be interesting to see who the final pre season fixture is against.... York seem to be busy so wont be them. Hopefully its a team with a little pedigree to set us on our way and give some competition. One of the Jock lower league teams would be good or perhaps South Shields or an U23 Sunderland / Boro team? or another farmers team like Runcorn no doubt !

Indirectly, this confirms that even with the late finish to the season, the pitch is being maintained to create a new one as usual.

Indeed. Our playing surfaces these days are amongst the best. Credit to everyone involved.

Scottish league starts that weekend and most teams are playing in the league Cup group stages before then anyway.
