What happened?

I see that something happened and that HUST then made a donation and then they got slagged off.

If H.U.S.T hadn’t made a donation they would have been slagged off by somebody, somewhere.

The area around the ground and the local park was a disgrace, cans and rubbish left everywhere, on People's walls and gardens. Not a great advert for Hartlepool fans sadly.

Perhaps that was why.

The damage was done by a large fan group, while heavily inebriated (they all happen to have covid now, big shock lol) after the match. The garden in question was growing food that would of got distributed to food banks.

Needless to say the gardens owners were devastated and HUST promptly donated. Another fan group (the one which mostly caused the damage) promised they'd donate and they didn't.

Thank you Mr Brush. And I guess it was that fan group who then slagged off HUST for trying to help.

I did see one comment also having a go at the Trust for making a donation as it was attention seeking, saying there should have been a combined donation.

The group who generally caused the issues straight away said they would donate money, HUST said they would too. It was meant to be a joint effort that also included other parties but then the original group were not communicating with HUST or the people from Bristol so it left HUST in a position where they couldn’t wait otherwise it would drag them down too. The original group as well as some HUST members then slagged HUST off for ‘taking over’. That’s how I’ve understood it.

glad to hear about this donation. we,d be up in arms if loads of fans did similar stuff in the town who most likely would never come back again. even us oldies were young once and got pissed at away games but i,m sure we respected the place more than todays lot do.

Deliberate littering is a thing you see quite often these days. Lazy people have always dropped food wrappers and stuff, but making a point of littering - like hanging dogshit in trees - is new. No doubt it started as an internet meme.

thats the reason you have a better chance of seeing a fox in a city centre than you have in the countryside. saw em regulary when i worked in coventry going home from work on a late shift. only ever seen 3 in the country in 70 years. as for the dog shit tree it makes my mind really wonder.
