Bunker has always been full of rumours, even in recent years. I remember some bloke on hear saying Michael Woods was transferring to MK Dons, and Nicky Featherstone was moving to Fylde.

All I ever have to say about Hartlepool rumours is this. Jack Blackford to Rangers. Hahah, yeah right...

DC is the new manager of Wales. I got that from the fat bloke in the wine bar ( I don't mix with pub plebs).

In the end Woods went to Harrogate - and only started 6 games in 4 1/2 months before being shipped off to Dover. Armstrong should be careful what he wished for, could be his experience at Salford all over again.

Wine bar? How common, it's all happening in the champagne and oyster bar,..However the Wales story has reached the ears of those who frequent such establishments like the white house

Looks like DC definitely has his work cut out and all in a couple of weeks if he is to have any sort of pre season preparation.
Worrying.

The club can now provide the following updates on player contracts ahead of the 2021/2022 season.

The following players are contracted for next season: Tom Crawford, David Ferguson, Gavan Holohan, Brad Young and Joe Grey.

Josh MacDonald is also contracted for next season but has been placed on the transfer list in search of regular first-team football.

"We are exercising the options to extend the contracts of both Mark Shelton and Timi Odusina for a further season.

Players who have been offered terms of reengagement are Gary Liddle, Nicky Featherstone, Luke Molyneux, Ben Killip, Rhys Oates and Jamie Sterry.

Talks with Ryan Donaldson and Zaine Francis-Angol will also take place in the coming days.

The following senior players will not be offered a new deal at the club: Mason Bloomfield, Aaron Cunningham, Danny Elliott, Claudio Ofosu and Luke Williams.

Ryan Johnson has accepted a deal at another EFL club that we could not match. Luke Armstrong and Harvey Saunders have both found new clubs respectively.

All other loan players will return to their parent clubs.

We would like to thank all of those players for their professionalism and commitment throughout their time at Hartlepool United. Everyone at the club wishes them all the best for the future."

That could be good.
Two I'd really like to see back would be Sherry and Cass.

I hope you're right but it is still less than six weeks to kick off and pre season is about to start. We still aren't sure about the players we would like to retain, never mind those who we are trying to recruit. I'm sure DC is working his bollocks off but time is getting short. There is no getting away from that reality.

the fun usually starts after july 1st when players are out of contract. there are usually 400 plus league players out of contract and given free transfers for various reasons. on top of this are the loan players that are made available to give them some football. think we might all relax a bit once even one player comes in and another re signs as could be the case by next monday. actually what was the date of our first signing last season. i,ve slept since then but it might put a lot of this panic we are in if these signings were july ones.

I'm sure there will be plenty available but the fact still remains that there is not a lot of time to get them in and gel them into some sort of team by Aug 7th. Lot to be done mate. Last season's start was delayed, this coming season isn't. It's not panic it is recognising reality. The panic will come if we don't recognise reality. Then there are the bloody agents with their brinkmanship.

then the players from last season did need a break. its how long this break will need to be. cannot see pre season starting for another couple of weeks anyway as in normal circumstances it would not start till july anyway. does give us some time to get bodies into the club. agree everything is going to be a bit of a rush, rush affair from the day we won at bristol. not knowing what league we,d be playing in will have slowed any recruitment down from the day we got into the final. we even might end up in a situation with players arriving the week before the crawley game. if pools make a slow start, that i expect, its the fast finish that will be more important.

Luke Williams finally out of the door / off contract. Even on a reduced wage, it is still unlucky for the fella. Better luck to him, wherever he goes next career wise.

Pretty sure last year we used the 1st August to unveil five players, although four of them were already known to be signing (Liddle, Shelton, Odisina, Oates).

The way I'm looking at this is, thank fuck we got out of that league when we did. Imagine this team being broken up but still being in the same division?! How many more years would it have been before we challenged again? And probably without Challinor.

At least, in theory if nothing else, we will hopefully be able to cobble a team together who can finish outside the bottom two and build from there.

I'd take 3rd bottom and celebrate it like Ashton Gate.
Project25 still on schedule.

only problem is we cannot have too many loanees. think there is a limit of 5 that can be picked in a squad for a game. then there is the problem of these short term loans that finish after christmas that many teams take on. if they are really good players then that can cause bigger problems once they go back to their parent club in the new year.
