I have never in my entire life known Pools games to on the telly more than the permier league. How many games including play offs have we been on live this season? My missus doesn't understand why a small club in an obscure part of the country is on more than Liverpool and Man United but then she's a girl.

One top tip: stop filming from two miles up!
Two top tips: Get a chamois for when its raining!

Back to Sky Sports coverage of the EFL, which is about 80% Championship games, 15% League One and 5% League Two. Barring a cup run, Pools will do well to be on more than once next season, unless they mount another promotion challenge.

Every game live on IPTV I Follow channel for about 80 pence a game.
Obviously it's not the same as being there but comes in handy if you can't get to the games.

Will games still be streamed? I hope so for distant fans like me, plus extra revenue for Pools.

That's an interesting question. Most EFL clubs were signed up to a service called I-Follow last season (https://www.efl.com/ifollow/). When it started it was described as "a TEMPORARY measure that has only been put in place whilst Clubs operate at a zero or reduced capacity as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic and will be subject to regular review..."

There doesn't seem to have been any decision about whether it will continue next season, no doubt because everyone's in the dark about how much Covid will be about in the autumn and winter and whether grounds will get back to full capacity.

So it will likely continue if there are reduced capacities. If things are back to normal streaming could hit home gates and revenue if paying to stream a match is significantly cheaper than a match ticket.

would be fine if they found a way to stream games for away fans only and for exiles. as a semi exile 160 miles round trip i,m put off with any talk of postponements or the weather being too hot. know sod all about any techy subjects so i have no clue on what is or not possible.

I would always prefer attending a live match rather than streaming, I'm sure most fans would. But living in N Ireland it is only possible the odd time. I would happily buy a season ticket to stream games going forward, streaming Pools games this season has been a god send for me but I realise it was only some small comfort for you guys who usually attend games in person. As mentioned, if there was a way to stream games for payment without impacting ticket revenue I would be very happy. I would still try and get over when I could for a game and a few beers

If it continues I'd use streaming for most away games as I doubt I'll get further than Carlisle and the Harrogate tin shed this coming season.

Of course, HUFC only benefits financially from fans going to away games if it's a cup tie - otherwise the home side keeps all gate receipts. But with iFollow last season the EFL paid for the streaming service so home teams got to keep all the income after VAT - £8.34 per every £10 match pass bought by home fans plus the same income from the first 500 match passes bought be the away side.

If they do the same deal this season and Pools have 1,000 fans streaming an away game, there'd be £4,170 going into the club's account - enough to pay most of the team's travel expenses at least.

Let's hope some sort of beneficial streaming for the club can continue. Cheers Mr Hogan, didn't know that about streams for away games, some revenue for Pools away would be great.

so from a financial point of view pools would be quids in from people like yourself and other long distance exiles. on top of this i imagine there will be a number of local poolies who would attend if they could but age and health are against that happening.
