Tongue firmly in cheek with that thread title. What I will say is if they are as good in their positions as Lewis Cass and have his attitude and commitment, they're welcome.

Same goes for any Geordie fans who want to come down and watch them, once Covid restrictions are finally lifted.

Just don't expect any gratitude from Poolies.

Well, Newcastle do play at a higher level than Boro and Sunderland. So you'd assume their youths will be the most talented. Cass has been great, adds so much pace to our defence.

Would much prefer we get youngsters from Newcastle than 35 year old already crocked veterans from Boro.

actually it could be a way forward for the club to get close links with newcastle. however some will not like the idea as it seems we are ignoring our kids by doing this. if they are good enough like joe gray they,d get a chance anyway.

Thing is we don't really have a conventional youth academy anymore. It's just done now with a partnership with the college and from what I can see it's not a very high level.

was wondering if our EFL status would reinstate the actual youth team setup. Benefits having an actual reserve team at this level too. that would be good to see

at non league level you are more limited in the youth set up anyway. its might be fine in having one but hope there is not too much thrown at it to help northern league teams in their future recruitment. everyone is looking to unearth a new star but very rarely does this happen. in all the years i refereed and ran the line at that level in the midlands only one player really made it, heskey at leicester.
