Careful now, you aren't allowed to criticise the club, even constructively, should you do that then you're not an elite fan. (Sarcasm of course)

I understand our club has a skeleton staff, but Torquay have been selling tickets online for days now with no trouble. I know a couple people who even had to resort to purchasing Torquay tickets, a real joke. Why must Pools have this bizarre passion for making the most simple things some of the most needless complicated?

I got through on the telephone on Monday at the second attempt, booked my ticket to be posted to me and it arrived today.

Been on the phone most of the day. Over 1000 calls and got through 4 times to choose option 9 which rang and then cut off to an answer machine. The daft thing is we could end up sending back tickets as unsold at this rate! Why do we need people to set up accounts before they can buy a ticket and if so why can't they do this on line? Quite outraged as I've got all the stubs from the streams I've watched! As I'll need tickets posted I've got little chance left now. It will have to be BT on Sunday.

I got through with my first call on Monday but that was only for season ticket holders, so I assume you are also one?

With 1,500 season ticket holders for this season plus x hundred early birders for next, I expected they'd have sold out in a few hours today, especially as they were selling up to 4 tickets a time. Pointless advertising telephone transactions today if there wasn't a separate person to man Option 9.

They should have just allowed season ticket holders to buy 2 tickets each from Monday and saved themselves a headache bbolt

Agreed was down there for 11 hrs for 1 ticket.
My son got his on monday so i asked the staff, please tell me what stand he is in so i can be in the same stand with him.
Guess what no can do so i said you are splitting families and the reply nothing to do with us.
So whats the point of having an account if you carnt tally up the ticket with account details.
Should have watched it on bt and not bothered.

Pools have got a "limited" supply of tickets for sale tomorrow, I've also seen a few people on FB selling their tickets as well.

It’s always been the same unfortunately. It’s disappointing. I presume the club fee like whatever happens they will sell the allocation for big games so why invest in systems if they don’t bring any additional revenue in. It’s short sighted and they miss out on additional merchandise sales as a result. It also creates ill feeling and the perception that we are 20 years behind the rest of the world. Anyway you got a ticket so just be thankful…….

 naming people on the Bunker doesn't class as naming and shaming. I'm guessing if they are on facebook they've already named and shamed themselves.

well i,ll offer em 20 quid for one and no more. more realistic a price for sodding ashton gate than what they are asking. still a hundred quid day even with a 60 mpg diesel car.

It's not the fault of the staff - we're not set up for big crowds at relatively short notice - remember that the ticketing for Cardiff was outsourced and since those balmy days there has been zero investment in the Pools' infrastructure.

Torquay did have trouble with their phone lines and online ticket sales and they did not sell directly from the club.

can understand the criticism of the club but i imagine other clubs of s similar size to pools would not have had similar problems with all fans trying to phone or queue in such a short period of time.

Not just Pools struggling with demand:
https://torquayunited.com/thank-you-yellow-army-3/

That's a hell of a lot of interest for a club that only averaged 2,600 fans at home games before Covid!

Must be a lot of Pools fans in the Torquay end for them to acknowledge it, if it was one or two people they'd just be quietly refunded.

They're dopes for bragging about it on social media. At least one Bunkerite was at the Stockport game but he said nowt in any public forum including this one before the game.

It's almost like they tried calling to get tickets from Pools yet were routinely ignored...

just why cannot fans just be allowed to stand together like the old days is beyond me. you can surely have a bit of banter with someone without trying to knock their head off their shoulders. in an era where sexual and racial discrimination are being stamped out we still are not allowed to mix with fellow fans. its really only a matter of geography or family traditions we are poolies in the same way as other fans ended up supporting their clubs at this level and all levels we have played in.

yes, at least one but they see no need to get on their tippy tappy every other minute telling their invisable friends what they are up to.

Most grounds below the national league are unsegregated, many times I've been to them in plus 1000 crowds and there's been no issue.

Mind, as soon as even the smallest incident would occur the tabloid media would jump on it.

Me and the missus rang over 4,000 times over the full day Weds and Thurs morning until we found out the last few were going to be sold to those queuing outside. We got through about 10 times and left messages every time.

What I can not fathom is how any club hasn't mastered the art of selling tickets. This is fundamental to running a football club!

Football has been around for quite a long time but the system to allocate tickets is an absolute fucking joke....over 100 years of experience and it still hasn't got a decent system. Embarrassing.

yes, and many are more local type games as well. think there is actually more trouble outside grounds now than inside. think the same thing would happen if we were allowed to mix together. think the leagues could give it a trial at certain clubs just to see what does happen nowadays. i know its not the 20,s and 30,s anymore, but neither is it the 70,s and 80,s mentality either.
