In the Northern Echo:

"Regardless of what happens, this is about the club moving forward and we've got to keep doing what we've been doing.

"These next few weeks will be the last time this group of players is together and that's how football works, it moves on quickly.

"We'll keep working hard and put everything on the line to do as best we can for the supporters.

"We want one last hurrah to play in front of them and there will be no better place to do that than in a promotion final at Ashton Gate."

Dunno about anyone else, but Pools doing well during the months of lockdown was a massive plus for me and if we'd had nothing to play for it would have made the tedium of being stuck at home that much worse. Even though my season ticket turned out to be a waste of money in a lot of ways, I'm really glad I got the chance to show my appreciation to this group of lads in person. UTP.

I'm really, really glad I got lucky enough to get a ticket for the Weymouth game. It'd of felt wrong if I never got to see this current crop of players, even better they were magical that day, and (showing my young age) it's statistically the best performance I've seen at the vic in scoring 4 and not conceding.

Like a lot of people have said most people would have bit your hand off for 4th at the start of the season. I remember an extremely long period before the season where most clubs like Stockport had signed a large amount of players and we only had a couple contracted. Needless to say Challinor's recruitment has been spectacular. For me I spent most the season pinching myself awaiting the inevitable nosedive down the table, but it never happened. It was the away game at Torquay where it really sank in for me on just how good this team is..

The sad part is there were so many games we could of got more from, although considering only one goes up automatically it probably meant little in the end. All the best for the lads today.

Well done the people who bought a season ticket supporting the club.

challinor has proved that you do not need to break the bank to get a good side out. he has created a team and not 11 expensive strangers out there. as for finishing 4th how many on here actually predicted we,d get into the play offs for a start and the same with other fans. thought about 10th myself and some were not as hopeful.

would by typical of pools to get promoted where fans only saw them live in one league game. just imagine the games we only could stream and what the atmosphere would have been like at stockport on sunday when the goal went in and at the final whistle in normal times.

I hope that atmosphere is harnessed and released on Sunday at Ashton Gate.
