It’s utterly stupid and the pundits are ridiculously playing up to their pre written screen personas.

What next? The Masked Surgeon? Guess which “celeb” carries out a real life operation while dressed as a spark plug...

In these Covid times the possibilities are endless. The Masked Waitress, the Masked Bus Driver...

There's plenty of other things that people could be watching or doing, so there must be a big enough audience for this lowest common denominator crap to keep on getting made.

People stuck in houses, some furloughed, some out of work, so people will be watching shite by default. That said of all the shite on television in the past few years, the masked singer was somewhat enjoyable.

At least it isn't another mouldy gameshow with a washed up presenter or ANOTHER antiques show.

Also love how everyone in the UK has to pay for this, yet they'll never record anything north of Nottingham (Manchester doesn't count).

totally agree. i have never seen this or the previous singer one. must be programmes for the younger viewers, the ones that do not watch much tele anyway. things like that and any other with that celebrrty in em are a quick channel turn in our house. you would think people would have had enough of anything where masks are concerned nowadays.

Never watched it or it's predecessor. Saturday night family entertainment has changed, probably for the worst, in my opinion. Thanks for all the extra sports channels, Netflix, Amazon etc. I'm enjoying, what a want to watch, when I want to watch it.

Terrestrial television is woeful these days. Everything from generic daytime dramas (doctors), mouldy game shows (pointless) and more antique shows than stars in the sky. Not to mention the influx of "poverty porn" shows but they're not even as bad as the wank on channel 4, oooh, teenagers like sex, wow nice realization there sherlock. As for channel 5, the day that channel shows anything british will be the day of apocalypse (was really useful the day old phil popped his clogs mind).

Not like filming location matters when it seems most channels don't even know a country exists north of Berkshire.

Its mental to think 20 years ago your BBC license covered Top Gear, Robot Wars and Dr. Who.

If you want a snapshot of how far society has declined, whip out a TV guide from 20 years ago and compare it to today.

I must profusely apologise for my above post. I am aware shows do film north of Berkshire. Typically homes under the hammer, where property investors from Kent buy houses en masse in places like Easington, forcing sky high rents on impoverished people.

Those people are also known as, mother fucking wanking twatting c.unts.
