Mind, no idea how plonker parade would be allowed in league one, its surface belongs in the Vietnamese Fourth Division!

if pools get to the final i just hope they get the breaks that morecambe got yesterday. the midland hotel on their front will have a bobby madley suite named after his performance yesterday.

The referee for the final is Tommy McGuigan's grandson.

I enjoyed the manager's interview after the match https://twitter.com/i/status/1399472126973861893

Remarkable achievement.
Well done.
Gives smallish clubs a bit of hope to so call overachive.

I still have ambitions as a poolie that league One status is doable.

well if they can do it and accrington a few years back whats really stopping pools. yes sodding money and investment. even at the present moment of time pools finances should be no worse than morecambe,s were not that long back. at least with them going up it will give us a better chance of going up as i was looking forward to going back to morecambe again next season.

The difference between us and those clubs are many , sadly.

They're in a decent population hub in Lancashire. The club knows ways to maximize revenue, and finally, they don't have a fanbase with over 93 different supporters groups.

This is a guy who was taken off the Premier League list for being a real tit and banned from refereeing for two years and has now been brought back to ref in leagues One and Two and has proved himself a right doyle. One of the Phil Crossley standard of refs who should be driven from the game. Like Joe Johnson who refereed our home game against Dover a while ago and almost caused a riot. Fortunately it looks like he will never referee another game.

one good thing about referees of that standard is that they should be good for referee recruitment. if anyone is thinking about giving it a go they must think, well i cannot be any worse than them and know what not to do from the outset. one of the reasons i started up. determined from day 1 to be the complete opposite of david ellary and mostly this has worked for me.

The FA and refereeing in general is full of favoritism. Anyone involved at grassroots football knows at least one referee ranging from average to awful who got fastracked.

Obviously when they're fastracked, they miss out on valuable learning experiences. Madley is only 35, yet became an EFL referee in 2010, make of that what you will...

even on your referees course there also seems to be someone who they spend time with more than others. next thing they are running the line on a lower pyramid non league game whilst you are learning the trade on a parks bog on a saturday afternoon and sunday morning. next thing they are level 4 and then the next thing is they pack it in as they cannot stick the pressure higher up. know bobby madeleys brother andy to talk to. far better referee and a decent guy who realises the FA bull shit thats around but willing to follow just to referee at the top levels. him and others have two choices. being your own man will never get you a wembley appearance.

Derek Adams has today left Morecambe Football Club to pursue an opportunity elsewhere.

On his way to Bradford City, probably.

And Paddy Power has Dave Challinor 8/1 to replace him at Morecambe, despite the fact that he's never managed in League Two, let alone League One

I rarely bet on football but if I did Keith Hill at 6-1 is where my money would go. He looks like a perfect fit for them.

shows really what even gambling companies know about football below the championship level. when they find out the name of suttons manager he,ll be in the frame for all jobs going in football down south.

Wasn't Challinor linked with Morecambe before he joined us? Be weird like, Fylde taking Jim Bentley and Morecambe ending up with Challinor.

Also, get this, I'm not usually one to do this, but someone who bought an item off me on Ebay is claiming it never arrived and are really uppity and passive aggressive about it. Guess where they're from? Newport. Seriously!

I remember when they sponsored their shirts, around the same time they released my personal favourite, Your Mothers Got A Penis.

next question will be how many years of those 3 will he do. sacked or leave for an even bigger club.
