I’m not sure about the rules.

We're nowhere near being 'mathematically certain' to make the play offs. Pools have 6 games left to play, but all the other clubs in the top 16 bar Boreham Wood still have games in hand on us. A couple still have 9 to play and Maidenhead have 10 games left.

If Pools didn't pick up another point from here, about a dozen sides could still theoretically finish higher than us - Maidenhead for example could finish on 77 points if they win all 10 of their games. Of course, it's not going to happen, not least because the teams behind Pools are all going to be playing each other, but there are no chickens to count just yet.

It's a bugger though that teams we've still got to play like Bromley, Maidenhead and Aldershot are coming into a bit of form at just the wrong time.

Surely we'll at least make the playoffs....we're the league's form team over the last 10 games or so.

Pools' form matters a lot more than anything other teams do. Dave Challinor has made Pools a very difficult side to beat. I can't see that changing.

I just asked some bloke called Adam Virgo and he says we'll probably finish in 24th. Seems to know what hes talking about...

one step at a time. lets concentrate first on a play off position. for me we are more or less guarenteed 7th place now. those below 4th are all irratic and cannot see them all passing pools.
