Anyone got a clue who'll win? Everyone horse/owner/trainer/jockey seems to have a comfy backstory for the press hail the against the odds winner. For me it's a lottery, but given a good run Cloth Cap is a worthy favourite. Any of the other 39 have a chance. That is/are my tips.

Anyone who genuinely thinks they have a ‘tip’ or a ‘banker’ in the National are talking absolute shite.

I concur Mr CC. Pick a name/number/horse colour/jockey colours etc that you like or stick a pin in it. Years ago there was a good chance you'd pick a winner from about 5-10 chances. H&S has made the race easier/fairer so lesser horses have a chance hence some big odds winners.

MISTER MALARKY 25/1
He was in Saving Private Ryan so must be a winner.

I had the winner and a daft £1 E/W on second. I got more money back for second (with an odds boost 130/1). All in all a good day. Shame one of the horses seems to be injured. I hope it's okay.

Well done on the betting.
Unfortunately a horse broken leg and died. It was called The Long Mile.

Imagine if footballers were treated the same way. Ooops, Rooney’s broken his metatarsal- get him shot...

TBF Race Horses are treat better than Footballers. I read earlier the Horses injury was sustained in between fences. I can only presume it got a leg caught in a divot, which if so could have happened running around a field at home. Interesting to read despite 15 horses finishing, the majority of the horses who didn't finish were pulled up. Well done to those jockeys.

that would be a complete freak accident if that had happened. this happened for the sake of the gambling industry and peoples once a year betting gratifacation. i know greyhoung racing is also a murky world that also should be totally banned unless it gets its house totally in order, but there would have been an outcry if a dog had to be put down after a race. again its about the standing of the people involved in these activities and not whats happened. not many big wealthy greyhound owners who may be royalty or big landowners.
