I got a bag for Xmas dinner that had the old varieties and were different colours, except for a couple of orange carrots. I should be happy that these types of carrots are being saved from extinction and the History books. But and it's a but I'm not proud of....well...they tasted just like a carrott. So the different colours came across to me as gimmicky, and a produce Hipsters would search out at Farmers Markets so they could brag about it to anyone within earshot.

Why do I feel this way when I should be happy.????

I think it's because they jump onto things and think they are the first to discover it. Then charge stupid money to them that are gullable enough to pay it.

As in the Harry Enfield skecth..I Saw you coming.the old tatt shop were he sold things at stupid prices.

you mean like farmers markets, anything sold as organic or when someone is paid to endorse a product to be sold has healthy. we get fresh eggs from a farm we pass near us. much more expensive than aldi ones but i cannot tell the difference.

Yeah farmers markets a classic, you can get some nice stuff at fair prices.sometimes

However I once saw a organic chicken for sale, at £17 it could not have weighed more then 3 pounds.

I said to Mrs DNO, I want it to talk and tell jokes for that price.

It was the Farmers market they have down on the marina, no wonder no one went much.

A man goes to the doctor with a carrot sticking out of his ear..

a banana in his other ear, spaghetti on his head and a sausage sticking out of his nose.

He says "Doctor, I'm not feeling very well".

Doctor replies "Hmmm, I don't think your eating properly".
