Looking at the thread on Ofoso Toures name was mentioned.
I watch the EFL show every week & have not heard much about him, I see he has played 21 times for Carlisle, hasn’t scored a League goal & got 2 goals in the Football League Trophy.
Compare that to last season with us, 37 appearances (inc off the bench) 13 goals, most of which came in the earlier part of the season before DC took over.
I was sorry to see him go, he was a character but with hindsight was on his game when he could be bothered! In Luke Armstrong we’ve found a striker that scores goals, hopefully we can keep him till the end of the season, what’s good about him is he scores all types of goals not all are worldies, he knows where the net is and seems to be bringing the best out in Reece Oates who is never going to score loads of goals but will run through a brick wall in the process.

Brings back memories when you hear Willie waddle on the wing it's like going to Darlington and singing we taking the tin shed.

Jan Ove Pederson for me. With Don Hutchinson and Joel Porter as back-ups.

For those of us who don't know the backstory, can you share please?

Or send me a PM.

I've had many a sleepless night about this.

Sorry to hear about your sleepless nights. Here's some bedtime reading, from the Wikipedia article about Neale Cooper:

"The next season, Pools again finished sixth. Cooper's side was a joy to watch as they embarked on a 12-game unbeaten run at the turn of the year with Adam Boyd and Joel Porter irresistible up front. But Pools won only 3 of 12 games, including a 4-6 home loss to Wrexham. And after a home defeat by Walsall, Cooper was controversially removed from his post, with just one league game to go. Hodcroft later said that the manager was struggling on a number of personal fronts with his family and children back in Aberdeen."
