3 shopping days to go and I still can't decide, well Dad can't what meat he wants for Xmas Dinner. It's either a Turkey Crown or a 5 Bird Roast. TBF doesn't feel Xmassy this year. I'll buy whatever and the veg etc on Wednesdsy. PS No we don't have Yorkies on Xmas day and yes we will be having Prawn Cocktail for a starter.

No fancy for Xmas dinner this year, probably because due to the lockdown, had more roast dinners than normal, so its a Turkey Curry for me, with rice, naan bread and poppadom trimmings

Turkey crown, keep it moist.

I love a prawn cocktail too. Can't understand why folks are so snobbish about it. Plenty of ways to add some variety on the presentation if needed but a good reliable offering.

Save up and get yourself to Poundland Mr Sussex. PS Poundland also have a Turkish Delight "Wafer Thin" type box, you know tht you can only eat after 20.00 hrs.

I make my own Soss for the Prawns, nowt too fancy. Also Dad doesn't like Soss, so it's only for me. FTR I use a Ramekin, Squeeze Red soss in, add the same (ish) squeeze of Mayo. Add a splash or 2 of either Worcester or Soy(I prefer Light, but Dark works aswell) soss, a bit of chopped garlic and a bit chopped Red Chilli. Stir, season with freshly cracked Pepper(plenty saltiness from the Worcester/Soy) to taste and when served Sprinkle with Paprika. I can't tell you the exact measures, so you'll have to by my Cookbook, available from any good retailer for £49.99 (plus P&P). Enter voucher code "IknowtheBishop" for a 1% discount.
