Good to see things are finally happening on the commercial front, but this idea seems a bit wishy washy to me. If the club did the basics right, then firms might come to them , rather than have to resort to selling raffle tickets in order to get the stand sponsored.

Maybe , and its probably true, our standing in the business community is so low at present, that at the moment this is the only thing they can do.

Raj likes his raffles. He had to raffle off the main shirt sponsorship in our trophy winning season since his commercial team couldn't land one properly. The season after he had to sponsor the shirts himself as they couldn't sell a sponsorship on the back of the trophy win. He seems to surround himself with commercial people who are useless when it comes to the basics.
