Brilliant result! Been out all day, just out of DAB radio range, apart from a 30 second burst of Radio Tees describing Ofosu having a goal chalked off for offside!

Fantastic, if they keep this up, I'll soon be struggling to find something to moan about. Sounded like they didn't play that well either, particularly first half, as they say its the hallmark of a good team to not play well and win. Lots of pros and only one con I can think of, would still like to see how we perform against one of the better sides. As has already been said, shame about this coming Tuesday, wouldve been 4000 in at least , great atmosphere and expectation.

First half we were really shaky in defence and they missed at least three clear chances. Second half we came out and played really well, some lovely football, Featherstone was superb, totally ran the show, best player on the pitch. Pleased Ofosu scored his first goal, looked much better today. We could have had a hat full second half, really pleased with that. The picture quality was very good all game also.

its points in the bag. the fixtures may have helped somewhat in having games against sides we beat last season in corresponding games. if pools had started with games at halifax and stockport with a home one to dover the early league table may have looked really different. next 2 games may give a more realistic league position. unbeaten by next sunday then i will be really positive.

As Challoner has said we are not going to win every game we are not that good. Just enjoy the present and hope for the best and for goodness sake don’t say I told you so the realists are not daft enough to get carried away by three good results against weak teams.

So a 1 in 4 chance of just scraping into a play-off spot? I think our chances are better than that - hopefully it'll be a cracking season finding out!

In Challinor we trust - just realised that last season was the first since 2006/7 that Pools won more games than they lost!

I had noticed that Morecambe were getting a couple of wins recently and must be near the top although the minus goal difference suggests a bit of a tanking somewhere. Taken over from Newport, then?

Also, I hadn't realized that Oldham had replaced Southend at the bottom.

It would be great to see HUFC, playing in the fifth tier of 'elite' football, impose themselves on more of the dross in the NL.

Someone on here on another thread saying we wont win every game, probably true, but why not? its not impossible, certainly not to lose every game, its been done before , records are there to be broken, why do some of our supporters think it can never be us?. You have to believe you can win every game or at least avoid defeat , and hammer some teams along the way. Its unlikely to happen for any team, never mind us with our history of failure, but no harm in thinking its possible.

I rarely get a number , never mind 5 or 6. Best I can do is buy a ticket, and give you 5 or 6 numbers that I dont have. That at least will increase your slim chances of winning.
