I heard Its ex Pools player Daryl Duffy from Stranraer, 36 year old and scored in last 2 games.

Has he got elbows and does he kick a lot.

Because today I saw players being brushed aside far to easily, until featherstone lost it.
Monkhouse would have went through a B,wood single handed.

I’d not be happy if we are loaning someone from Scottish League 2...... so I’m thinking Duffy it is not.

We are not loaning him, we are signing him as a player/media manager

I’d sign Mark Simpson as a player and shot him up too if it was a joint thing with a media manager.

What source did you get that from? I heard it's a 22 year old forward named Luke Armstrong, son of Alun Armstrong and formerly of Boro's academy.

By that description alone he sounds like he'd sign for us.

You actually believe me

Luke Armstrongs stats sound very similar to what we already have. Whoever we bring in tomorrow, there is a lot of pressure on the bloke to deliver , sounds like an act born out of desperation to me, and will only further piss off players already at the club. I would be livid if I was Joe Greys dad.

Because he hasn't been given a start, all the others have, though to be fair, even Oates, Bloomfield, Ofusu and Parkhouse haven't started 3 games on the spin, surely a new signing needs at least 4 or 5 games to prove themselves. Most to my knowledge have been in one week out the next , getting subbed when they have started or coming on as a sub. Now most of their minds are probably messed up and confidence low. Challinors fault no one elses.

or is it challinor like us knows they just aint good enough. when at your previous club you were allowed to bring in any player within reason it must be hard to be at pools and signing people because of the money and not their ability. the 4 mentioned, i just wonder when he was at fylde he,d have signed any single one of them. just starting to wonder whether in the present circumstances at pools that he is not the man for the job. he is a proven good manager but a manager who has had money behind him.

Parkhouse wasn't on the bench yesterday. I'd imagine he'll be heading back to Sheffield United when the new loanee comes in.
There's huge pressure on Dave Challinor now. Boreham Wood looked the better side for most of the game and in the one spell when Pools were on top chances were missed again - young Alex on the commentary is pointing that out week after week. The manager made it clear that some of the players left out recently will be starting on Tuesday. I'd say Shelton and Bunney definitely, Odusina probably, maybe MacDonald, Grey or Ofosu.

Once again Joe Grey didn't get anywhere near enough time on the pitch to show what he can do. No replays at the Vic along with everything else that's wrong with the streaming service, but it didn't look like a pen to me despite Joe making the most of his fall.

If the player has had a serious injury in the last year, hasn’t scored for about 3 years or is an under 21, then we have a great chance of signing him. Raj will be hailed a saviour for allowing us to sign such a great and expensive option, then after 3 games we will realise that Rhys Oates wasn’t so bad after all.

If this forward line and midfield don’t get us relegated this year, then I’m confident we will be in this league for a few more years to come. Surely even raj can’t cut the budget anymore can he?

In his prime, Duffy was awesome for us, then he seemed to struggle and had a club a year, apart from the Indian club where he banged them in for fun.

might as well go part time. if you cannot attract full timers on the wage i,m sure you could get a better part time squad giving em the wages the present lot are getting. due to the part time nature of travel for training you may get more local lads playing together with a closer dressing room and all playing and busting a gut for each other. the present situation just cannot go on.
