Something ominous about this one. Boreham Wood for me in a false position , 5th last season and I reckon will be thereabouts this. These used to be the games we used to win, against good teams ,everyone writing them off, even that has stopped happening this season. Some good old skool players in that Boreham squad, Mafuta, Rhead, Tshimanga, Mingoia, Angol. Worse still, it looks like Boreham , after a dodgy start to the season, might finally be getting their act together after a good 3-0 win at Canvey Island in the cup.

Fuckety fuck fuck !

0-1 defeat

To The Hartlepool 0-0. As Paul Simon said...Slip slidin' away.. Hopefully not. Will eat my hat which I don't wear if we win which of course I hope we do. I know he makes mistakes and is a bit raw but can't we have Ofusu run at them for 90 mins please. And Grey to play all the game.

grey deserves a start as at least he has some spark about him and might catch em by surprise. if pools can manage a zero themselves they may share the points. just wonder what challinors prediction really is at this moment of time.

Thank you , appreciate it.

My worry is by the time he gets a start, the moment may have passed and he might not have the impact he would've had , if he had been in since the start of the season, due to being de-motivated. He has to be wondering why everyone else has been given a chance, and he hasn't.

Anyone know why the match commentary on Radio Tees is not available online?
I have listened to the last couple of games but now its saying contractual obligations means it can't be broadcast. What has changed?

Awful stream. They should refund this one. They need a rocket at half time.

Challinor gets rid of Mafuta, our best midfielder last season and picks Donaldson and Xavi as first choices every game. Does he think these two clowns are better than Mafuta? These are the guys who are going to get him the sack as we slide down the table. I will give him until March before he is gone. Willingly or unwillingly.

Xavi can pass the ball from side to side and is now seen as some great player for us. No mentions now that he can’t defend, score or create. Donaldson just can’t do anything. Add these two to the worst forward line in the non league pyramid and you have problems. Then add these problems to a manager that’s been given a budget that’s is nothing short of a total embarrassment for a club this size and your heading in one direction, whether we won the first three games or not.

Eddie Kyle nailed it. He said Challinor got rid of Mafuta because he thought he wasn't good enough, and replaced him with Shelton, who cant get into the team.

Challinor is digging his own grave here , not injuries or refs to blame, but his team selection, formation, tactics and his subsitutions. His signings werent the best , but he could and should be getting much more out of them. Only at Hartlepool could a player who occasionally strings a couple of passes together , get the nickname Xavi.

Its all starting to get very Hignettesque, when he lost the plot towards the end, trying all sorts of things and digging himself a bigger and deeper hole. At any other club, failure to beat Kings Lynn on Tuesday would lead to the sack.

I think DC thought he could bring in a couple of capable players for the price on mafutas wages.
Or maybe he didn’t,t rate gus, who was not first choice when DC took over.

Think most of us knew that gus was more than capable at this level, he strolled around the middle of the park today with ease.

Agree, but another example of a player leaving and doing better, as I have said before, don't be surprised if Bloomfield is banging in 15-20 goals next season for some Southern club. Mafuta was first choice when DC took over , was only towards the end when DC put him on the bench, ironically games we won, maybe that made DC think we could do without him. Ironic that the player bought to replace him Shelton now cant get a game.

Can’t argue with that unfortunately lol

Hate to say it but don’t think moles+Holohan work together.
Don,t have a clue what’s happening to Donaldson but his days
Could be numbered I think.

I believe it was said that Mafuta was about the highest paid player in the squad and we got rid just to try to balance the tights budget. Don’t believe DC ever suggested he didn’t rate him.

Accrington Stanley r a prime example that poorly supported teams can function with a tad of ambition.
26 points from their first 13 games.
Maybe a nice derby with Burnley next season.

Our strikers have been under scrutiny for not scoring this season, particularly the new signings, but there are others who have done very little and escaped criticism, such as Donaldson, Molyneux and Featherstone. Holohan isn't the best in front of goal either, but looks good compared to our strikers. I have always thought Holohan makes a great sub, when we have an eleven that can keep Holohan out of the side , then we are somewhere near where we need to be. I'm expecting 2 or 3 of those 4 not to be starting on Tuesday.

swap owners and get a similar one to accrington then and only will pools be back. than get a manager to create something in the dressing room where all the players are as one and that itself creates the 12th man.
