This is a very difficult case. Clearly it was a heinous crime but she was demonstrably mad as a balloon having already stabbed her sister and mother in psychotic attacks and yet the doctors and social services ignored her. Hard to tell who is to blame and that seems to be the conclusion the CPS came to. She'll be locked up for a long time and not released for the foreseeable future but ultimately this case has tragedy in every facet.

Well put Mr I.

Its tragic when someone who should've been under permanent lock and key, eventually ends up under permanent lock and key, but only after they have killed someone , due to a failure of the system. It can't be easy though, when everyone involved in the process is generally working to a remit , that hopes one day said person becomes well enough to be able to go back into the community, its easy to see why mistakes occasionally happen, with terrible consequences.

And until someone is held accountable this will continue to happen again and again, As it does now.

It is tragic, and it is avoidable. I totally understand your anger and frustration on this.

sorry but i might upset a few but i do not care. a little kid is dead that should not be. the person who killed her should not have been there anyway with the condition she had. care in the community my arse. she should have been banged up years ago in the good old fashioned mental institutions where she could not have harmed anyone. this is not the first of these cases and will certainly not be the last.

She certainly shouldn't have been free to roam the street. She was let down by the inadequate mental health system and a little girl and her family paid the price for it. It is truly a disgrace and one that all governments of the last 50 years are responsible for.

Agree, particularly the one that created care in the community
