Which ex pools player currently playing is at a club highest in the league pyramid?

Time for a wee drink?

Dunno about that, but I grind my teeth every time Podge Amond scores for Newport County - 38 so far and counting. Pools flirted with the drop out of the Football League for years, but it was Coxall that got us relegated. Even after half of Hignett's team had been sold from under him the squad was still good enough to keep us up - till Dave Jones was put in charge banghead banghead

And Laurent signed a contract with Pools. We only had Hugill on loan for a couple of months from Preston - though it was a brilliant bit of business by Ronnie Moore to bring him in.

Talking of ex players and its been said on here by some of you before. The late great Ernie Pythian and no recognition by the club. Very sad and strange. Might not have meant anything to younger fans but for us boring old farts he was a reason for hope back in the wooden stand days and I can recall many Pools players being the league's top scorer in a season. And still to my knowledge no words at all from the club.

Agree entirely, SHOCKING ! Could've at least put something on club website. Gateshead, York, Spenny, Blyth all played last night, noticed there were match reports on all their sites at 6am this morning.

Oh and Darlo, whose game was abandoned after an injury to Nicky Hunt, lets hope he makes a speedy recovery and is back in action soon.

The OS is obviously being updated by a young volunteer with limited time and no feel for the club's history. No doubt content on plenty of non-league club websites is done by volunteers, but most will have been fans for decades before they got involved.

Which begs the question, why wasn't this voluntary role advertised?. They may have got a volunteer with media skills with a feel for the club's history who has supported the club for decades. Smells of nepotism this to me.
